I went through many quotations. A few companies never responded. A few companies responded but never showed up. A few companies gave some ridiculous quotation so high that I figured that rather than saying they don't want the job, they just gave a very high quote. Those companies are on Homestars as well. Quality Home Roofing & Remodeling responded the next day. Quality Home Roofing & Remodeling came the following day. I have to give a 10 for my interactions with Quality Home Roofing & Remodeling about what needs to be done and what shingles to use, etc. They are not the best roofing company out there. And no roofing company is the best. You have to choose the company that you think you can work with, and Quality Home Roofing & Remodeling is the company I can work with. It's like a relationship, give and take. That's how I see things. Their quote was not the highest nor the lowest, but from talking with Quality Home Roofing & Remodeling on multiple occasions, I knew I can work with them. And that's what matters most. They came on time, work non stop, and finished same day. Thank you Quality Home Roofing & Remodeling for helping us choose the right colour and grade of shingles quality to choose. Thank you for being so patient and informative with the specifications of what type of shingles to use, etc. This is the kind of company you would want to hire if materials is important. Because we had to scrap the idea of installing extra vents, and go with ridge vents instead, we had to settle with plastic ridge vent instead of metal due to last minute supply contstraints. That's acceptable. We'll monitor for the next coming years how long the plastic ridge vent will endure varying temperatures and rodents. We can always hire them again to replace plastic with metal when times are back to normal and supplies are back to normal as well. Overall I give them a 10 for a roofing company that we can work with as in my eyes they are a people company.

From the first moment we reached out to Toronto Tree Removal to the very end when the crew cleaned up and left, we had a very good experience all the way through. Wow. This is how tree service should be. Mr Hill came by to give me a quote. Very professional. He seemed to know his stuff describing the issue with our Maple tree. Every other agent who has come by just want to cut it down to the ground. But that would be too easy. And we'd hate to see this tree go. Mr Hill said he'll do a thorough quotation and will get back to us. We were in no hurry anyway since we've been looking for a decent arborist for the last two years. We were looking for someone who cares about their line of work. And we had a feeling we found it in Mr Hill. The following week the crew came by. Again, very professional. It's the kind of crew you'd wish you were working amongst them. They had equipment and thich fat ropes setup for safety, etc. All this was done in a matter of I can't even remember... very short time. And they looked like they were really taking their sweet time. Meticulous work. Cutting all those troublesome branches like silverware through butter. It was fun to watch. I felt like a child watching with much fascination at the crew working in unison. One regret was that we didn't film the work. That would've been a great documentary on Youtube. Koodos to this arborist crew. Thorough cleanup afterwards. Great work. We would hire them again. We were looking around for quite some time for someone to do our front door. I was particularly looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and who values good workmanship. Then we found Entrydoors-Toronto through Homestars.com's reviews. I am now convinced the other good reviews are from real folks :) Thumbs up for Alex and Gabriel. We've since been spending too much time admiring the new door because it looks beautiful. I would definitely call these guys up again for future projects, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
