Requested a quote for a pass-through/bay window to be cut into the kitchen wall. Quoted $1300 + supplies. Be warned: the quotes only cover the basic job. Basic pipe reroute behind the wall was extra ($300 extra). If I wanted the garbage removed, extra. If I wanted the trim/area painted to make the job look 'finished', extra. Was charged roughly $300 in supplies (lumber/drywall/etc). Found new hardware and lumber tucked under the refuse. Why was I charged for things he didn't use? On the last day he cracked a tile when he was finishing. Didn't recut, just laid it as-is which means I now have a visible crack on my backsplash. Good correspondence to that point however once an Email with pictures were sent to the company, nothing. Their 'guarentee' isn't worth the paper it's written on. Also, that appealing quote of $1300 turned into $2300 after taxes and all the Add-ons and I was left with the garbage and a basic, unfinished look to the job.
