Our main floor renovation started with a call to LARCON Structural as it included the removal of two load bearing walls. They were recommended by a friend who had used them for a renovation with very positive results. A return call by Holden started the process. When Holden arrived at our home to assess the job we were not only impressed by his professionalism but also his knowledge. Once we came to an agreement, Holden arranged for the engineers to attend for their assessment, he applied for the structural permits and despite COVID complications accommodated our timelines. If we weren’t impressed enough with Holden we were equally impressed with the construction team that included his brother. After a lot of hammering and banging in 2 1/2 days two load bearing walls were removed, beams were in place and our open concept design and my wife’s dream kitchen started to become a reality. Even the building inspector made positive comments about their work. Now that the renovation is 99.9% complete and we can evaluate this major endeavour we were not so fortunate with all of the hired trades but continue to tell family and friends of how impressed we were with LARCON Structural and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them in a second.

All Star Roofing in Burlington is best described as honest, professional and fair. A few years ago after renovating two bathrooms I was having a difficult time finding a roofer that would install roof vents for the bathrooms. That was until we contacted All Star Roofing. Elvis arrived with a co-worker and installed the vents in short order. I asked Elvis for an estimate on replacing the roof and he told me in his honest opinion that we didn’t need one yet. After the spring 2018 windstorm blew off a different roof vent we didn’t hesitate to contact All Star again. After speaking with Jennifer and arranging an appointment, Kevin arrived and replaced the vent. At that time I asked for a quote to replace the eavetroughs and roof. Kevin provided an estimate for both but said we could wait until next year for the roof. We went ahead with the new eavetroughs which were replaced in a timely manner by the two Dans. At this time of year especially, we are loving our gutter guards! We thank All Star for their professionalism, honesty and fair prices and we’ll see them in the spring to replace our roof.
