I researched and read reviews on HomeStars and then selected 3 companies to obtain quotes for a new high efficiency furnace, AC, Thermostat and Humidifier. I selected Ottawa Home Services partly based upon Adam's approach in reviewing my needs and in providing me with a competitive quote. When making a large purchase decision most have second thoughts as to whether they chose the right company; any second thought that I had disappeared with the arrival of the installers. They arrived on time and proceeded to do an excellent installation of the entire system. I am always impressed when installers use a level to ensure that the components being installed or attached to walls are actually level. Ottawa Home Services also does the registration of the system to ensure that you obtain full manufacturer warranty provisions and registration for any applicable rebates. My personality is such that I do a lot of research prior to making a decision and also have an attention to detail, and would summarize my overall experience with Ottawa Home Services for both the fairness of pricing and quality of workmanship/installation as excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ottawa Home Services to friends and family.

Peter and his team were working on several of my neighbours' properties and Peter came over as I was outside doing some yard work. He introduced himself and his company and asked if I needed any work done. I explained that I was going to remove and replace the polymeric sand on my driveway. Peter explained that this was something that they could do and he also added that they would level some of the stones that had shifted over the past 8 years. We agreed upon a price and Peter indicated that this work needs to be done when there is no rain in the forecast. Peter maintained regular contact with me over the next week or so and he indicated that based upon the forecast he and his team would arrive on a Saturday morning if that was agreeable. Peter arrived at the stated time and prior to starting made me aware that sand removal is very messy. While it was very messy, Peter and his team did a very good job of clean-up prior to applying the new sand. When the job was finished, the driveway looked as good as it did when new 8 years earlier. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work and their professionalism, in fact so much so that I gave them a tip. When my driveway needs to have the sand reapplied, I would not hesitate to contact Peter again as their workmanship was excellent.

I was provided a very in-depth quote and was assisted with my design decisions/questions. He was on time for the two visits (quote and contract signing) and was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable; which left me with a very comfortable feeling that I had chosen the right company. When it came time for the installation, the installers were quite simply amazing. Justin always communicated in advance by email as to when they would show up and they were ALWAYS on time. The posts went in on Tuesday, material drop-off on Thursday and installation on Friday sums up their efficiency very effectively, but there is more. Justin and Matt are extremely conscientious, respectful to the property conditions and very adept at their craft. The fence installation, simply put, is perfect. The sight lines, consistent spacing of the bottom rail to the ground, the extra care they took in filling the gaps between the back fence and the new fence and the post and my brick house wall clearly show the pride that they take in fence installation. Their site clean-up was so effective that you would not know that I had just installed a fence! I have no doubt that my new fence has not only given me the intended privacy but because of the quality of the PVC fence and the expert installation that it has also added value to my home. One of my neighbours came over a few days later and was very impressed with the look and installation.
