Groupon ran a special and in my case the owner was the one doing the painting and he arrived promptly and worked solidly. I have to say that 200.00 is a fair price for what he had to do, it was a very small room, we'd moved all furniture out and the walls were in excellent condition, there were only 3 full walls to do and he didn't do any trim or ceilings. (The Groupon deal was 85.00 for 250 worth of service.) On a personal level, I didn't actually like the fellow.. He made many disparaging comments about my home comparing it (unfavourably) to his and he also griped about about not making enough of a profit on the Groupon deals that it wasn't worth putting one of his teams on it as he would lose money. I don't like when companies offer special pricing through group buys and then are angry when people take them up on it. So for the price the job was OK, not spectacular but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

I found Becker's online estimate calculator very helpful (and as it turns out accurate.) Every single person I dealt with was personable, courteous and helpful. They arrived at every meeting on time and their delivery estimate was dead on. The fellows who installed my windows were complete gentlemen who worked very efficiently and did a marvelous job. (They were even respectful of my cats!) I am thrilled with the end result and would heartily recommend Becker to anyone.

We contracted TARZA to do our flagstone walkway and our porch, they did the stonework in a timely fashion but we have been given the runaround regarding the porch. Three weekends we were told that they would come and they did not. They dropped off all their equipment one Saturday stayed for 15 minutes, and they left. They returned the following Tuesday to pick up the equipment and promised to return on Sunday (which they didn't). Camillo [last name removed--Ed] the owner won't answer his phone or return any calls.

We had two exceptional experiences with this store. Canadian Tire will sometimes advertise an item at a terrific price but when you actually have the stores do a physical stock check the item is is often unavailable. After calling 15 stores we were told that the item we wanted was in stock at Albion and drove across the city to get it. When we got there they said it wasn't in stock after all. (This was the fifth store where this had happened)Unlike all of the other stores though, this store turned the premises upside down looking for the item, and finally they not only located one, they actually discounted it. All the way through they were helpful and very solicitious. My second experience was with the garden centre. I'd purchased a set and the glass table had shattered. I was looking for a replacement but the item was discontinued. The garden centre manager told me to wait a minute, she disappeared for about a half hour found a floor model. We were thrilled and thanked her profusely but that's not all because the table was a floor model she gave it a great discount and a wonderful fellow spent ages taking it apart with my husband. Even though this store is nowhere near where I live I will only frequent this Canadian Tire.
