Favourite Room & Accessory: Having a kitchen you love to cook in and comfortable space to share meals with family and friends can makes it easier to eat well. We design to make gardening, cooking, storing food, composting and recycling easy. The kitchen is the very heart of our homes and we are staging a bit of a revolution. Favourite Neighbourhood: Any where there is a feeling of connection and familiarity, where people look out for each other. Any place that nourishes community, we need this and it's become so rare these days. I just wrote a post on my blog at www.homecologist.com called What Means Homeless, on this. Surprisingly it's the internet that is making us more of a village again so in terms of it's potential to bring us together the internet may be my favorite neighborhood right now and I hope it will be used to nourish harmony and healing our planet and communities, it's the first time we can really see ourselves as a part of a global village and I hope this fosters compassion and connection.
Next Home Project(s): Something community minded where the architecture encourages interaction and friendship, something very well designed as always because this is the most sustainable element of the built environment, we want to preserve it. And a kitchen renovation and major redesign of a whole house to make it efficient and elegant in it's preformance.
Year House Was Built: new condo bu domicile but they forgot to mitigate sound transmission and it's very loud and a huge design deficiency
