Our relationship with Rydel has been very satisfactory. As one of three bidders, Rydel was very thorough in explaining the work to be done and in answering a large number of client questions. The quotation was also quite competitive. Unlike some "new construction shingling" the Rydel approach is ALWAYS inclusive of winterguard (rubberized) underlayment for the first six feet up from the eaves and also in the valleys. The rest of the roof also receives modern waterproof underlayment. Modern vents replace the old mushroom style. The quality of the shingles was high (IKO Dynasty). But at the end of the day, the key Rydel deliverable was the installation by an experienced team combined with a respectful maintenance of the client's property (e.g., tarping, on-going clean-up, responsiveness to client questions). The entire process was satisfactory because the installation team was skilled and well managed by its supervisor. This was not a huge surprise because we had seen the team's work on several houses up and down our street in the preceding weeks.
