Christmas shopping at Sears was a treat this year. I found gifts for both my mother (really pretty lamps) and mother-in-law (throw cushions and a welcome mat) - everything is excellent quality and the prices were good. I also received excellent service from the floor staff, who pointed me in the direction of everything I needed. Sears really is one-stop shopping for very nice home decor and gifts.
For a fairly small store, you won't beat the selection at Decorative Art & Frame - they have lots of artwork and frames in stock, and will also order in. I bought 2 prints and frames for each there, and am going back this weekend to pick up 2 more frames for prints I already have. Would highly recommend!
I recently bought a new blender and toaster oven at Zellers - the price simply could not be beat. The one thing I didn't like (which I have experienced there before) was a VERY pushy cashier who tried excessively to talk me into getting a 'Zellers card'. They must get some kind of bonus for signing people up. Anyway, if you can take that pressure at the check-out, then I'd definitely recommend pricing things at Zellers before shopping anywhere else - you'll probably find some deals!
