I was recommended For Saving Heating and Cooling by a friend of mine.
I spent over a year looking for a HVAC contractor. Last year my AC finally died and so I have been looking to replace my old AC along with my 19 yr old furnace.
I decided to go with For Savings because I felt that they offered a great product (Lennox) for a reasonable price. Yes they were still more expensive than other companies but Lennox typically cost more and they were the cheapest Lennox authorized dealer I could find. For example, costco was about 2000 more and about 1000 more after taking into consideration their 1000 cash card gimick for the exact same product. I would rather keep this 1000 in my pocket.
Now it is impossible for anyone to comment on the quality of their unit regardless of what brand because I will not know until the thing breaks down. My Trane lasted me 19 years and was still running when I replaced it. I only had to change a fuse once and thats it. I Never performed any maintenance at all, except for filter changes. With that being said, I know that my current Lennox furnace runs a bit quieter and there are less cold and hot spots in the house because of the variable speed dc motor. Time will tell if it holds up.
The ac unit (xc 14) was relocated to a more convenient location with a shorter run to the furnace. Only issue is the unit is massive. Looks much smaller in pictures but it is at least 2.5 times the size of my old unit. When they were testing the unit I was very impressed with how quiet it ran. I was able to have a normal conversation right beside the unit. Very quiet which should please my neighbours. Make sure you have enough space if choosing this unit.
Max Shi, the sales rep, was very informative and provided more info and help with regards to rebates compared to any other company I was getting quotes from. I got about 6 quotes in total as price ranges were everywhere for same/similar products.
Installation was very quick and efficient. I would say slightly too quick for my liking but it was obvious these guys knew what they were doing. They patched over the old hole in the concrete and the installation was clean. They removed the old equipment and did not make a mess.
They also coordinate all rebate stuff and energy audit stuff quite nicely. Hoping to get my rebates within the next three months. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Yes, I would recommend them if you are looking for a Lennox or Carrier product.
