Cleve fixed a problem the original builder of our house caused. Builder did some modifications to the wiring going into my laundry room by creating a jury-rigged junction box in the basement that rerouted properly installed 120 volt lines to enable an obviously unplanned construction modification of the 120 volt plug arrangement in the laundry room at the time the house was built. Ground wire in that box was poorly installed (likely by drywallers not electrician) and loosened over the years by minor house movement, to the point that sometimes the ground wire was connected and sometimes it wasn't, and the latter caused my washing machine to shock me. I took apart all the plugs, inspected them, and my Klein tools indicated a perfect circuit (when the ground was connected). I was ready to buy a new $1000 washing machine, as I thought it was the source of the problem. Total conundrum as to what was causing the occasional shocks. I thought I had ghosts in my laundry room. Cleve found the loose ground in the (luckily) unfinished basement, and reattached the ground wire securely. No more shocks!!! Thanks Cleve.
