In June 2016, I hired Danny of Enervate Renovations Ltd to build me a 10’ X 23’ composite deck with glass and post railing. I finally had the composite base completed on November 09, 2016; but no railing and only three two-by-four pieces of wood for stairs. After sending two demand letters, Danny met me at The Deck Store where I picked out railings, which the salesman advised would take one to two weeks. After two weeks, I called The Deck Store only to find that Danny had never even placed an order for my railings. On July 19, 2017, I finally had to resort to hiring another contractor, who also pointed out Danny’s substandard work on the portion of the deck which had been completed; clips were missing resulting in the boards lifting and where boards had to be screwed the holes had not been pre-drilled, resulting in ugly screw holes. On August 14, 2017, Danny finally agreed to pay me back $7,000; of which he has currently only paid me back $1,000. I am now forced to sue him in Small Claims Court for the remaining $6,000.

Last year my eaves trough was damaged when a storage container was moved from my driveway. The company agreed to pay to have my eaves trough repaired or replaced but had great difficulty getting any company to return their calls. Chinook Exteriors Inc. came through with flying colours. I was so impressed with the quality of eaves trough that I hired them to replace the eaves on my detached garage as well. After completing renovations and in anticipation of hanging Christmas lights, I once again contacted Chinook Exteriors Inc. to see if I could be put on the list to now have my soffit, fascia and downspouts replaced as well. Jean-Francois contacted me personally and provided me with a quote in a week. Eight days later, they arrived to complete both my bungalow and my garage. Seeing that rain was predicted in the forecast for the following Wednesday and Thursday, they arrived and completed my house on the Saturday and my garage on the Sunday. Both jobs were completed in a very professional manner. I also had different downspouts which looped up and over my lawn and also extended to my back fence. They replaced exactly what I had. I am very pleased with the work performed by Chinook Exteriors Inc. and would highly recommend them. It is nice to know a company where no job is too large or too small.
