We were in the middle of a kitchen reno this past August when we noticed a spot on the drywall in the bathroom right above. Upon inspection from the attic, we saw the insulation and drywall were soaked, We called our roofer (Simon Zhao from Guildwood who did a shingle replacement for us a few years ago) for help. The next day Simon showed up with a crew member for an inspection - no flaw was found so a water hose soak test was done and showed that one of the roof vents was the source - it had developed a crack. Simon came back the next day replaced the vent. Problem solved. I cannot recommend Guildwood Roofing enough! Friendly, honest competent. Thanks again Simon.

Daniel, the master craftsman at Nordik was sent out to remediate some deficiencies from the previous company’s installation. All I can say is it is like an entirely new project; fit and finish is par excellence, and frankly beyond our expectations. To top it off when Daniel left at the end of the day the job site was perfect inside and outside. Great work!

Last year in the fall when we had our gutters cleaned the technician told us we needed to get our roof done. We began to browse around Homestars and checked with a neighbor who had just done his roof recently. He told us about the contractor they used - Guildwood Roofing - and what a wonderful job they had done. We were interested, but did our homework and got 4 written quotes. Simon Zhao, proprietor of Guildwood promptly returned our call and came by to give us his quote. He fully described why some of the items it contained were so critical for a low pitch roof like ours, how they would remove the old shingles and clean-up the job site when they were done. Guildwoods's quote was not the cheapest, but in truth all were pretty close. What made us pick Simon was his prompt follow-up, and obvious knowledge of and enthusiasm for the profession. Well, the job was completed today and I can say we are so happy with the workmanship, the speed at which they got the job done, and the fact that our property was arguably cleaner than when the Guildwood crew started! Excellent work Simon and crew! I strongly recommend giving them a call when you need a roof replacement.
