AVOID! Unbelievably unprofessional. As a previous review stated, the salesman we dealt with was kind and left us happy with the selection we’d made for new French doors leading to our backyard. We were told they’d be ready in 5 weeks and that someone would be by to take precise measurements in a few days. “A few days” turned to weeks as the tech cancelled on us THREE TIMES. He finally came and took measurements and we waited another 7 weeks. I just called today for an update on delivery and guess what? They cancelled our order, without notifying us, 3 weeks ago. Apparently our lovely sales rep Adam quoted us a price “too low” and the company refused to make the doors. He was supposed to call us to tell us the order was cancelled but never did! The best part? I was told I was refunded on May 6th. It’s May 25th and I have NOT been refunded my $800 down payment - so now I get to chase after this company for a refund I was never issued on an order I was never told was cancelled! UNREAL. Do. Not. Use. This. Company.

Horace was such a delight to have in our home - talk about attention to detail! We were fortunate enough to hire him for a last-minute job, and he was kind enough to accommodate us short-notice. He was clean, professional and his work is incredible! We’d hoped to re-tile our bathroom floor ourselves but quickly realized we were in over our heads. So glad we found Horace, now our bathroom floor is the nicest in the house! Thanks again for everything and all the best. :)

Our garage doors are pretty old and clunky. One of them has been extremely difficult to open since we moved here 3 years ago, so we weren't even using it. We knew we wanted an automatic opener installed and figured we'd have the door fixed at the same time. Two other companies came to give us quotes: one told us we needed brand new doors and that the 'broken' one couldn't be fixed, and the other company told us we couldn't even have an opener installed due to the presence of a loft/storage area above our doors. We actually gave up until we saw Whitby Garage Doors at the Durham Home Show and asked them to come check it out. Not only did they reassure us the door could be fixed AND an opener installed, they also gave us pricing options for new doors but let us know that it really wasn't necessary and ours were in good condition. Their honesty and non-pushy approach really impressed us. They came today and installed our belt-drive opener and fixed the door in under 2 hours. It works great, it's super quiet and most importantly we now have use of the newly fixed garage door we've been avoiding for 3 years! I wish we'd know about this company sooner, we would have saved ourselves so much trouble. We definitely recommend this company and are very satisfied with their customer service as well. Thank you Whitby Garage Doors! No more struggling with kids and strollers and sticky doors.
