The worst choice you could ever make.
The biggest mistake of our lives was choosing Morrison homes to build our new home. From the moment you hand over your deposit cheque and become entered into their system, you become meaningless to their office staff. I am not talking about the sales staff, who become your only point of contact, I am talking about every single person in the chain above your original sales person. After delaying the start of our build by weeks because they lost the prints to our home at their design studio, every week as our house came together was one crushing disappointment after another. While we expected the selections studio process to be a smoke and mirrors show of trickery, the actual experience of selections studios is that it is an inefficient, unsatisfactory, poorly staffed joke. They rob you blind while misleading you directly to your face. when you raise a concern you are simply told that it should have been dealt with while you were at selections, when the problem was never once discussed. This includes everything from the placement of switches, to light bulbs, to the painting practices, to the speaker placement, to an inability to fess up to their own mistakes. Almost every single problem we have encountered while building has been a direct result of the selections studio, and their poor customer service. When we attempt to resolve issues caused by or because of them, we are given the brush off, and told we are SOL 98% of the time. Morrison staff, excluding the sales and trades people, treat you like dirt . We are treated like we are a problem child that they are doing a favour for, not like we are valued customers. Actually we are not treated like customers ever, we are treated like scrum. The sales staff and the tradesmen on the other hand, behave like professionals at all times. Save yourself the tears, frustration and disappointment. Build with anyone other than Morrison. We did not believe the bad reviews when we were selecting our builder, but we wish more then anything that we had. If we could, we would walk away and not even bother to sell this house. Morrison has made our dream home a nightmare, and it no longer feels like it will be our home, it feels like it will be a daily reminder of the mistake we made in trusting Morrison to do a professional, reasonable job. Do not choose Morrison Homes for your own good.
