I would be wary of entering into an agreement with this company. In 2013, the previous owner of my house had the flat roof of the garage replaced by these guys. Late last autumn (2017), we started experiencing some leaking and some sagging in spots. We called the company to come take a look and they did; unfortunately, it snowed the night before they came, so upon arrival, they couldn’t really see anything. They said they would come back the next week, which never happened. I called again in the Spring of 2018 and set up an appointment for someone to come take a look. However, no one ever showed and despite repeated messages and emails to the company since, I have not received a call or email. So in the end, my roof is still leaking and I cannot get the company to come take a look at their own work after five years (despite a 10 year warranty). So be careful here.

We are overjoyed by the gas insert installed by Robin and Connor. We had shopped around for awhile and had a few different estimates but it was never made clear what would actually work in our space. During the initial visit, Robin let us know within a few minutes and with a few measurements what options would work for us and what he thought was our best bet. He definitely knows his stuff, was courteous and friendly, and never pressured us. The install day was uneventful - and that’s a good thing! Robin and Connor showed up when they said they would, set up, and got to work. Only took a few hours and they kept the work area neat and tidy and cleaned up after everything. I would highly recommend Fireplace West. Great service and great prices. Top notch in my books!

In January 2016, my furnace stopped working. After much consultation with Feddie Osman (an amazing sales rep), we decided to replace both the furnace and the central air unit, given the AC unit was very old and likely to stop working in the near-term anyway. The furnace install went very smoothly. The installers were professional and courteous, answered each of my questions, cleaned-up after completion, and went over the functions of the new thermostat in great detail. On May 4, 2016, Tyler and Hys came over to install the air conditioning unit. I cannot say enough about how awesome these two guys were. They arrived on time, explained how everything was going to work, and got started right away. They were both super-friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The job was completed quickly and they went out of their way to install an extra cold air return in the basement, even though it wasn't on the original work order. They replaced my outdoor temperature sensor and ensured it was functioning properly. In short, these guys were just amazing!

I decided to go with this company after a long conversation with one of their door-to-door salesmen and for what I thought was a very competitive price. After the first significant snow fall in late December, the first two passes the driver completed much left to be desired. Only half of our double-wide driveway was done (even though we had paid for the full width) and a fair bit of snow was left on the side that had received attention. I sent the company before and after photos (after my wife and I shovelled) to demonstrate the proper length and width of what needed to be done. The company was initially receptive to my concerns and indicated the photos would be sent to the driver. I wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt, given they were new to snow removal. However, I was routinely left disappointed by the state of my driveway after any snow amount. Not once was the full width of my driveway plowed, despite markers and banks clearly showing the boundaries on each side. After only two emails, the company became less attentive to my concerns and stopped communicating altogether. The final kick-in-the-pants was during a recent ice-and-snow event in late-March, where almost 7cm of precipitation fell. The company didn't once show up, and I don't believe there trucks were out at all (judging by their gps app); however, everyone of their competitors were active in my neighbourhood. So, in short, save your time and money next winter and go with a more reputable company.
