Had Silcraft Plumbing & Heating (Sil and his son) out recently to help me get settled in to my new construction home. The work involved routing a gas line for my new dual fuel range, a cold water line to my fridge and installing those appliances in addition to a new Bosch dishwasher. After a scheduling mix up (partly my fault for assuming), SilCraft would be put in a bind to do the work on the day I needed this work completed... they sensed my desperation and made it out to do the work. Despite the surprise addition to their schedule that day, they spent the time needed to do the work right (in excess of 6 hours). The routing of water and gas lines was done with minimal cutting. They were patient, courteous and very personable. With exception being handed an invoice at the end of the day, it's like having two friends in your house all day helping you out. I always prefer getting the person who's company name is riding on the quality of their service and not some fly-by-night employee who just wears the uniform from 9 to 5. With SilCraft, Sil shows up. After moving from Ontario to Alberta, I wanted the same flooring installed in my new Alberta home as I had in my Ontario home. I sourced my own hardwood (Vintage Solid Sawn Handscraped White Oak Engineered) and I wanted the small details of the installation to be on par with the quality of the wood I had purchased, so I settled on Masterpiece Hardwood Flooring to do the job. As my home is in a new development still under construction, the building site supervisor has been by my home several times and each time he stops to comment on how nice my flooring is and how clean the installation turned out.... and I agree! Add me to the list of happy Four Season Comfort (Craig Newhouse) customers. I was at work while it was installed, but my fiance was home and said the installation tech was awesome. Explained what he was doing along the way. After the installation, Craig stopped by the follow up and show her what was done and how to operate it. My house is cozy. The install was clean. We are happy.

Floorwood Solutions is Robert Romanczuk & Darek Garlinski. We had them install about 390 sq. ft. of the popular Vintage 5" Baroque Hand Scraped hardwood flooring, on a 45 degree, on much of the main level of our townhouse recently. I left them to their talents while I was at work most of the day and returned to a completely transformed home. They're a great bunch of people. I've met with Robert 3 times before they installed and had the pleasure of meeting Patricia, the sales contact, as well. Her communication is consistently prompt and patient... as it was a full 14 months from the first time I asked for a quote until my home finished construction and the floors were installed. The workmanship of Robert and Darek is of the same quality. There were a few builder screw ups around my breakfast bar that they fixed in the process and made it right. Floorwood Solutions don't install crap. The Vintage product they prefer to install is a noticeable step-up from anything a home builder will offer. After seeing builder installed hardwood, in new homes purchased by friends, I am happy with how I spent my money on this product and the installation services. If you subscribe to the idea 'You Get What You Pay For', then you'll be happy as well.
