T in Peterborough

I bought a fireplace here, after looking around a number of places. I had shopped here before, but not in years, and when someone recommended that I check them out for a fireplace, I thought I'd give it a shot. The Clearing House staff are really knowledgeable, and took time to really show me around. They seemed willing to help me with whatever I needed, even if I didn't purchase with them in the end (i.e., told me what to look for in general, no matter where I was shopping). No pressure at all. They have a really good selection of furniture and home accessories, and they even have patio furniture. The prices are really good. There is also a second location in Lindsay - I haven't been to that location, but it's nice that they have 2 (makes it more accessible to people living outside Peterborough).

I would give Anden 10+ stars if I could. They were recommended by a friend when we wanted to do a bathroom renovation and we were impressed by the work they had done for our friend, so we hired them. We wanted new countertops, flooring, and a shower, and they were able to recommend counters/flooring/tiles that would complement each other and suit our needs. They also made recommendations for new taps that we weren't thinking of, but which look much better, especially with the new counter. Our bathroom now looks much bigger because the shower has glass walls/doors, and the room is gorgeous. The new shower is our favourite part - they used doors that swing both in and out (so no water has to drip after a shower if you swing the door inwards), taps/showerhead that allow for easy temperature control/setting, and a 'rainshower' head that is amazing. I would recommend Anden anytime!

The Chesterfield Shop (this location, because it's closest to where I live) is my go-to store when looking for furniture. My most recent purchase was a sectional for my basement - I had looked at other stores closer to where I live, but I couldn't find anything the right size or price - The Chesterfield Shop had a great deal more selection, and the prices really are competitive. I find the service people friendly and not pushy. I will always return in the future!

I have not been to other DOT locations, only this one, but I can tell you that I would most definitely recommend this particular location to anyone who is looking for an exceptional experience all around. This location is a family-run operation, and we dealt with 2 different members of the family (on 2 different days, as we looked around for weeks) who were both equally knowledgable and helpful. We ended up buying a 5 piece patio set that is exceptionally made and has a warranty of 10 years. We were not at all pressured into anything we didn't want/need (in fact, when we described our sun patterns in our backyard, we were DIScouraged from buying an umbrella because we likely wouldn't need it). I can't tell you how please we were with this store - we would return again in a heartbeat and have recommended them to friends a number of times. I would give 100 stars if I could!

I very much enjoy a weekly browse through this store. There is always (and I mean always) new stuff! Quality is excellent, and the staff there are quite helpful. The only thing to watch out for (as far as I'm concerned) is the price - it isn't ALWAYS the best. But definitely a must when you're 'shopping around'!

Really really nice stuff! The quality is excellent and the service can't be beat. Very helpful staff. I ended up buying blinds for 3 rooms in my house, after shopping around at tons of places. Definitely check this place out!

Top quality merchandise! The prices are somewhat higher than other home decor stores, but the quality of the products warrants the slightly higher prices. I recently bought a wine rack at Bombay, and I have never been happier with a purchase. I have been complimented more times by guests on this new purchase than I can count! Service is excellent as well. Definitely give this place a try for fine home decor.

Love this store! I always find things there that I'm not able to find elsewhere. If you know what you want, the staff are always willing to point you in the right direction. If you aren't sure WHAT you want, it's a great place to browse (for yourself or for a gift). You'll always find what you need!

If you're not sure what you're looking for, Blinds to Go is a great place to check out. The service is really good, so they will point you in the right direction by asking questions about your wants/needs. You might want to shop around before buying, however, as I found a slightly better price at another place.

This store has GORGEOUS furniture. If you like the finer things in life, Ethan Allen is a must for redecorating. I found the service wonderful on a recent shopping excursion - very attentive sales people with knowledgeable answers to all my questions. The price is quite a bit higher than many other furniture stores, but appears justified for the most part. I bought a gorgeous area rug just weeks ago and have already been asked by several friends where I found it! I'm completely satisfied!
