Complete revamp of HVAC system in home
Due to very unacceptable noise level and uneven temperature throughout, the suite was so very uncomfortable to live in. We had spent over $25k a year or so ago to replace the original air cons and furnaces when the whole condo had contracted another company to attend to ice built up problems on the exterior vents. We had made convey to them that the new equipments had to address the noise and uneven temperature problems otherwise it'd be point to replace them as the existing ones still working well. To our horror, the new equipment doubled and tripled the noise level and at night we were woken up whenever the equipment kicked on, the noise was like a jet engine. They tried to set the fan to very minimal setting, we insulated the doors to the mechanical rooms. But it didn't help as the return air vents are right beside the motors and the mechanical rooms are within living areas. That company just made the excuse that these rooms were in bad locations which the owner already knew prior to the job and was given the mandate to make whatever changes and Upgrades to solve those issues. Instead of upgrading the furnaces, which had 4 gradual phase starters, he called that excessive for the space and installed one phase 2 starters. The home was so noise polluted that the living room is rendered unusable and the bedrooms, sleep killers. We were also lured to use their maintenance service which, thank God, we had kept with McKinley. Our usual service tech, Kazzam, came a few months after the new equipments were installed. Ge recommended us to seek out their company sales rep to see if they could give us a solution to our HVAC nightmare. We were so happy that we did. Yes, we spent a lot of money but the difference is like night and day. Brian, the GM, is so helpful, so reliable and so professional. His staff too is top notched technicians who really know their trade and possess professional skills unlike the previous company where most of the workers are just apprentices. Not only that, Brian was genuinely eager to make the home a pleasant place to live. He did not mind redoing work and replacing equipment when he anticipated issues. He always listen attentively to our concerns and make adjustments to keep us satisfied. Even now, after many months of completion, we can still call on him to do things if it's for further improvement to our satisfaction. I cannot thank Brian enough for having devised such a complete overhaul and recommending these nice equipments that solve all the previous problems and making our home a home sweet home.
