Twelve years ago, Al and Rob worked with my landscape architect to design and install an irrigation system that supports spacious areas of garden and lawn, using a variety of sprinkler heads and soaker hoses. They have continued to alter the system as new garden beds, trees and paved areas have been added; and they've replaced heads busted by winter snow plows that jumped the curb (yikes). The RH Sprinklers team is fast, efficient and courteous, and I definitely recommend them to anyone in the neighborhood who is considering an installation or needs a reputable firm to repair or maintain an existing system. And, for someone who enjoys gadgets, I love my handheld remote control for easy spot-watering. Note that the Google review required entry of a Cost - the $s I noted are for spring prep of the system.

Avenue Road Roofing has professionally performed several large and small jobs at my home over the years, the largest being replacement of the roof. A smaller job was installation of specialized downspout components to beautifully manage water directed to five water barrels in the summer, and away from them in the winter. That particular job has been admired by many visitors to my garden. My most recent experience with Avenue Road Roofing was in November 2015. I had been experiencing a very frustrating issue with water mysteriously entering the living room, but only during severe storms with winds out of the East. Unsure whether the source of the problem was the roof, eaves tough, masonry or something else, I called Avenue Road Roofing. They sent Kas and Tony over, who quickly figured out how the water was getting in and remedied the problem immediately. We've had several nasty storms out of the East since then, and all that water has been staying outside where it belongs. Thank you Avenue Road Roofing!
