We recently had an extensive multi-phase project done by ME Contracting, which included grading, asphalt driveway, paver patio and sidewalks, concrete planters and address wall, and a steel and glass staircase and railings. We were very pleased with Daryl’s management of the project. He has a solid knowledge of landscape construction that enabled him to come up with creative solutions, and we liked his collaborative, customer-focused approach and positive ‘can-do’ attitude. He always gave us the straight facts, which helped to build a good working relationship throughout the job. We are absolutely thrilled with the glass and steel staircase and railings that Kaz built. He is a skilled craftsman and very meticulous. If we were reviewing this alone, we would give ME 11 out of 10 stars. The true test of a company though is not just the quality of work, but how they handle issues. Keren kept tabs on the project, and when a couple of glitches occurred, Keren addressed these and made sure that we were ultimately satisfied with the results. Overall, we are happy with the outcome, and would definitely work with ME Contracting again.

As part of our new home build, our architect designed a feature panel to go beside our main staircase, which Copacetic Woodwork built for us. They did an outstanding job! Not only is the panel extremely well-constructed and beautiful, but the installation was exemplary. The installation team took the full week to install, assembling and disassembling multiple times, measuring and adjusting to ensure everything was perfect before they glued it. They scribed rather than shimmed the bottom to align with the inconsistencies in the level of the floor for a more professional finish. They brought their own floor protection, vacuumed and cleaned when they were done, moved the table back and lowered the chandelier to return everything the way it was when they arrived. One of the fellows even returned on Saturday morning to remove the clamps in time for a dinner party we were hosting that evening. Once they started, they returned every day until the job was complete. Many other trades could take a lesson from Ian’s team in pride of workmanship, attention to detail and ownership for the outcome and customer experience. We feel privileged to have worked with such a professional company.
