I installed a New Furnece G71MPP and Air Conditioner 14ACX on May 25th 2009, last summer the air conditioner was on for 8 days. Last week was the first time I turned on the Air conditioning in my house, and had to turn it off two minutes later because it was making an irritating sound when was operated. I called the Husky Heating (instaler) talk to Alex and Demetry, and they refuse to serve the unit, they aske to book an appointment for service and I have to paid for the labor. He said there is not recoord the this unit was ever served. Monday July 5th and the same thing happened. Once again I had to turn it off because of the noise. Now Does not go on. I am shore this this unit was defective or the tecnician that came here create the problen with the banging.1 The best is that Husky Heating & Air Conditioning had been in my house two times to serve the furnace, the 2nd time was on March 2010, A service tecnician checked my new Lennox Furnece G71MPP,it was making some noise, shut down and was not turning on. The technician proceeded to inspect the unit, I left him alone in the basement (unfinished) and from the up stair floor he made some loud banging noises for arround 20 minutes, and then told me that he didn’t find anything but if I had any more problems to give him a call. He wrote his name and telephone in a paper. Did not leave me a copy of the Service Order. It is now begining of July 2010 and I have 3 children in the house and no air conditioning, I get a clanging noise eminating from inside the furnace, and different codes when I disconet the unit to avoid possible fire or damage to the unit. I have the idea that I was purshasing the best product in the market but is not like that. I am shore that this problem is from before. I called Lennox two times, I was wating for some one to pick up fron customer service for 31 and 42 min. and the 1st day the representative said that He want thake a complaint. Never seen a Warse service then this.

Approximate cost of services:
$6,825.00

Company Response

Let us begin by saying that Berta was picky from the beginning, complaining about things beyond our control, like the financing rules in Canada and such.
But when Berta called us after the installation, complaining about the noise coming from her basement, we took it very seriously and sent the installer back to her house. What have appeared to cause the problem was the DirectEnergy PeakSaver thermostat, and not the products we have installed.
The installer explained it to Berta, advising her to call DirectEnergy. She then proceeded to call our office again, after which we immediately sent another technician, as well as our service manager, Alex, who all have confirmed the thermostat problem.
To further assure Berta, the Lennox territory manager also called her, and explained the issue to her.
We did everything we could to resolve Berta's issue, but unfortunately the problem was beyond our control, and was in no way caused by the installation or the products installed.
