Our chimney was 50 years old and the bricks were crumbling. Loose chunks of mortar were falling out and it was a bit hazardous. Predictably, the realtors' downplayed the findings but MHI did a standup job and went to bat for the little guy. For the house that we did end up buying, Pierre and Mark found a ton of issues and their exhaustive report has formed the basis of a gigantic TODO list that we are slowly working through. Very knowledgeable, excellent evidence-based findings and a friendly inclination to dispense practical advice are what makes these blokes very valuable, in my humble opinion.
