After calling several other electricians and having them miss quoting appointments, cancel actual days scheduled to begin work (Hansco), I contacted Andy at Colony. I was really frustrated at getting someone to come to my home and redo all of the electric in my garage. I had 4 new circuits run, 5 outlets added to the garage, 2 light fixtures installed in the ceiling, 1 GFI outlet added on the front porch (for the wife's XMas lighting needs) and light up house numbers installed. Andy was patient with me during our conversation on the phone and NEVER said anything negative about the contractors I had contacted before. Instead he showed up at the scheduled apt time and provided a quote (extremely competitive to others I had received), when I called him back and gave him the go ahead, he provided a date and time that worked for me and took on the job. His crew arrived exactly on time and worked diligently through the day and got the work done and it turned out even better than I could ever have anticipated. After we came up with the initial plan, he kept me in the loop with where they were at. He made suggestions that I hadn't even thought of, such as trying to minimize the number of holes drilled in the drywall and having to cut out sections of drywall and re-patching etc. When they finished, the only way you could tell anything was done was a tiny 2" cut out in my drywall which was patched in less than 2 minutes. When I called Andy 2 days later once I realized the previous homeowners must have fiddled with the 3way switch wiring so that the lights did not work correctly, Andy stopped by the next day and had it resolved in under 4 minutes. This was NOT something they installed, the switches were pre-existing; they simply replaced the fixture so it was not his responsibility. Courteous, on time, helpful and very professional. That is how I would describe Andy and team.
