My furnace stopped working, and I suspected it was the attached water pump. Someone from reliable came and confirmed the furnace was fine. We didn't even need a new pump - he was able to clean out our current pump. Friendly guy, completed the work quickly at a great price. He is also the only furnace repairman I have encountered that didn't try to get us to upgrade to a new furnace. Very happy. Will definitely use them again . . . just hopefully we won't have furnace problems for a long time.

We saw Ilir from The Roof Whisperer doing work on a neighbour's house, and asked hime for a quotation to cap all of our outside windows, and gabling on the side of the house. He promised me a quote within 2 days, and provided a very reasonable price. He was able to get the work done the following Saturday. Two members of the Roof Whisperer team showed up on Saturday morning to start working. They did a truly meticulous job of caping the windows. The house looks great. In fact, our neighbour has now asked them to do the same work on his house. Great experience. Very communicative, outstanding quality and well priced. I would highly recommend them.

Our house is over 40 years, and various drains, taps, and sinks were original and in need of TLC. We got a quote from another highly ranked homestars company, but the price seemed very high. Levstein and Stern were a recommendation from a friend. They have a very transparent pricing model. You pay an hourly rate. Any hardware is provided at cost with no mark-up. Stephen came to our house on time. We walked through the house to identify all the work required - new laundry room faucet, new kitchen faucet (cracked), new sinks and plumbing in 2 bathrooms (they were completely corroded), fixing a leaking outside faucet, and clearing a lot of slow moving drains. Stephen was fantastic at identifying what needed to be done, and more importantly what did not require work. He completed all the work, and the final price was 1/3 of the quotation from the other company. Stephen was a real pleasure to have in our house. I'm always interested to learn from service professionals, and he was happy to walk me through the work he was completing. Levstein and Stern Plumbing will definitely get our business for life.

We brought in our vacuum to be repaired. They supposedly replaced the motor (for $150) and it worked for a few months and then died again. My wife brought it back for another repair. When I went to pick it up, they said the engine had died, and that they had again switched out the motor. I asked to see the old motor (not believing them). The owner then proceeded to threaten me, and physically assaulted me. I eventually paid another $120 to get my vacuum back (and to get out of there). Guess what. It lasted 4 months and then died again. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! They run a repair con.

Having recently moved into our first house, we wanted to ensure that our chimneys were clean and safe to use. From Home Stars, we got the name of MagicTouch. I called them, and had a very nice conversation on the phone. We have two fireplaces with separate flues. Their fixed price is $125 for the first chimney and $110 for the second. Richard, their technician came on time. He looked at the chimneys and told me they had recently been cleaned, and didn't need to be cleaned again. He also told me that I should not use one of the chimney's due to safety concerns tied to poor construction. Richard then gave me some ideas and insight into switching over to a wood stove insert, in order to make use of this separate fire place. At the end of the day, I was only charged $50 for the inspection. Great service. I will definitely use them again.

We are just moving into our new house, and Capps is the only service provider who has delivered what they promised. They arrived on time, were clean and efficient, and did their job very well. They also provided advice on our furnace efficiency, and other general tips for our new home. Awesome service, great guys. I only wish other service providers were as good. Thanks guys, Raphael
