This was our 2nd project with Tim and Sunny Garden and we were again so impressed with the efficiency, collaborative approach and the quality of work. Project deliverables, timelines and budget were clearly communicated from the outset and all met. Tim and his crew are pros and we would definitely call hire them for our next project.

My wife and I did a lot of research for a potential contractor to finish our basement and we were immediately drawn to the overwhelming number of positive Homestars reviews for P&P. Our experience was 100% aligned with these other positive experiences: -Natanael's (the owner) quote was thorough, broken down by activity and very reasonable. The contract was clear on benchmarks and deliverables. -For items/activities where we wanted to adjust the scope of the contract, Natanael was INCREDIBLY patient and presented us with a range of options. As homeowners who had never undertook a renovation of this scale, he was flexible, fair and completely transparent. -For the job itself, the primary contractor was Javier and he was fantastic. He listened to what we wanted, provided possible alternatives when what we wanted was not possible and his work was excellent. Also, I can't emphasize this point enough, he was really great to deal with: his sense of humour, his consideration for our property, his integrity, all of it. When you're inviting people into your home to do a job, I really underestimated how much that mattered, but after dealing with a variety of other companies for different aspects of this project, it was nice to be able to let our guard down a bit, know we were in good hands and the job would be completed to our complete satisfaction. While we stumbled upon Unique Touch through their strong rating on Homestars, they were also independently recommended to us by our underpinning company. On the business side, Edson and Tony were amazing to deal with: they promptly answered all of our (many) questions, walked us through the entire process, and the final bill was exactly what they quoted. The lead crew member, Van, worked extremely hard for us in order to meet a deadline, kept the work-site unbelievably tidy and was always super pleasant and professional. We are thrilled with the finished product as the floors turned out beautifully. We are so happy we went with Unique Touch and would recommend them to everyone who is considering polishing their concrete floors.

My wife and I are so unbelievably happy we decided to hire True North to underpin our basement. We researched a variety of companies and, like many people, were drawn to the glowing Home Stars reviews. Upon meeting Daniel in person, it all totally makes sense: he knows his business, he knows how to deal with people and can communicate the technical parts of the work in a clear and understandable manner and has a ton of integrity. Once we signed our contract, Daniel walked us through every step of the process and every line item in the budget, including possible overages that may occur. He made himself available when we required coordination with other contractors we hired and creatively troubleshooted every wrinkle and hurdle that arose. Sean was the lead point person we dealt with on our job and he and his crew would show up every day before 7:00 AM to prepare for the day ahead. These guys worked tirelessly - with smiles on their faces - and would entertain any and all of our questions, report on how our sick dog was doing and take our elderly neighbour's garbage & recycling out each week. They were basically performing open-heart surgery on our house and we were shocked at the painless process and thrilled at the end result. True North started to demolish my basement on February 5th and they poured concrete floors March 6th. The final bill was exactly what Daniel had originally quoted. We would recommend True North, without hesitation, to anyone and everyone considering digging out their basement.

We recently redid our kitchen with Sky Kitchen and are thrilled with the results. Our main contact at the company was Mohammed and he was as patient as he was precise. He presented a wide range of options and helped my wife and I focus our vision by providing design suggestions, cost-effective alternatives and managing our expectations throughout the entire process. As someone who has used Homestars for research on a variety of home projects – and someone who was always fearful of being the clichéd homeowner who gave his money to a contractor or company, only to be ripped off (i.e., every Holmes on Homes episode) – I think one of the biggest recommendations I can give a company is that they do what they say they are going to do and stand behind their work. When there were minor issues with our countertops? Mohammed got on the phone and sorted it out the same day so there was no delay to the project. When we requested minor tweaks, additional molding or an adjustment weeks after the kitchen was installed? Sky Kitchen was there, no questions asked, to ensure we were happy. Sky Kitchen made us feel confident from day one that they would execute our renovation on time and on budget and that we would be thrilled with the results. They checked every box and I will be using them for future projects in my home.

Throughout the project, Raja was professional, skilled and, drawing on his expertise, helped solve anticipated problems before they occurred. When any additional issues arose, he was quick to give us a variety of options that were cost-effective and in sync with the overall design of the kitchen. As a couple who had never undertaken any major projects to their home, a big motivator in choosing a contractor was to feel like we were in “good hands”: someone who would listen to what we wanted, but guide us based on their experience of what works and what doesn’t; someone who would execute our vision, but mitigate/minimize any issues (which are bound to happen on any renovation); and someone who, at the end of the day, we trusted would complete the project on time and to our level of satisfaction. Raja and his team at Modern Design Kitchen and Bath did all of this and more. To anyone who is currently where my wife and I were - sifting through references and companies, who may be nervous about the substantial financial commitments of a reno and then not getting what they want - Raja and his team will deliver what they promise, on time, and for the agreed upon budget.
