Our original 7x7 garden shed, which sat on uneven patio stones, was demolished by a neighbour’s tree during the windstorm in Toronto on May 4, 2018. We wanted our new shed to be slightly bigger, and assembled for us, and we wanted this one to sit on a (level) concrete pad. We thought we would need to find and co-ordinate, different companies to do both jobs and weren’t thrilled with the prospect. We found The Shed Installer Guys and were surprised to learn they do it all. We communicated with Matthew by text and phone calls and he always got back to us. We told him what we were looking for, he made a few (welcome) suggestions, and provided an estimate and date he would be available. We ordered a garden shed from a big box store and had two enormous boxes delivered. Matthew and his associates arrived when they said they would and put in a very long day. They removed and piled the old patio stones, excavated and created the frame for the concrete pad, poured and levelled it, and partially assembled the shed – which they covered while awaiting the concrete to dry. A couple days later, Matthew and an associate returned, finished assembling the shed on the pad, and thoroughly cleaned up. We noted during the whole process that Matthew was very particular about the work. The entire experience, from start to finish was pleasant and worry-free for us. We can highly recommend The Shed Installer Guys.

I recently had a tenant move out of my basement apartment and leave behind 6 years worth of dirt, grime, grease, and general filth. I was shocked and upset when I saw the condition in which the apartment had been left. I could not have cleaned it myself. Having had good past experiences finding services through Homestars (most recently with Pesticon for an ant problem), this was the first place I checked for a house cleaner. I chose Maret’s Quality Home Cleaning Services based on previous reviews and am very happy I did. From the outset, my e-mail was answered promptly, Maret came to my house to estimate the job (arriving on time), and she provided a very detailed estimate – with NO pressure. I was impressed with her professionalism. warmth, and her confidence in being able to provide the extreme cleaning job I wanted. I went with her on the spot and a date was arranged. A team of 4 (all polite and personable) arrived at my house right on time, and put in a full day. When the job was done, I was led through the apartment by “Jackie” who explained what had been done. They did everything I wanted, and even a few unexpected “extras”. I am more than thrilled with the transformation of the place and am now looking forward to creating my new guest room/art studio. This company did a fabulous job for me and I would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to family and friends.

Two weeks ago, upon my return from several weeks vacation, I came home to find ants in my kitchen. As insignificant as they may seem to some, ants are my worst nightmare. I called Pesticon, based solely on their Homestars reviews, and spoke to Waheed. Although he was booked solid, he knew the state I was in and made arrangements to fit me in late in the afternoon the next day. He turned up as promised (driving from Burlington to Scarborough!), explained what he was going to do, and assured me the ants would be gone. It’s been two weeks now and I haven’t seen another ant. Not only did Waheed provide the service he promised, but he was such a professional, caring, and most importantly – honest - guy. I was very impressed with him personally. But, as good as he was, I hope I never have to see him again. Thanks, Waheed, you’re the best.

We needed a plumber for the pipe leading to the outside tap, which had split inside the house over the winter. We've never called a plumber before so we called Drainworks based solely on their reviews here. Service was excellent - from the initial call to the service person, Chris, who not only did a great plumbing job, but went above and beyond what he was asked to do. (When he asked if there was anything else I needed, I jokingly asked if he fixed fences as I had backed into our driveway fence the night before and twisted the post to the point where the gate would not close and lock. Chris put a huge pipe wrench on the post and twisted it back around to where it belonged.) Even without this extra "service" we were very pleased with the job Chris did. The new tap, pipe, and shutoff were installed quickly and we were left with an instruction sheet, as a reminder on how to shut everything off for the winter. We would rate Drainworks higher than a "10" if it were possible. We would definitely call them again.

We recently had a major clean up of the garage, garden sheds, and basement. In addition to general junk, there were several large, bulky, heavy objects we wanted to be rid of, so we had quite a pile to dispose of. We called Des O'leary based solely on the reviews on Homestars - and they were correct. He was fabulous. In one phone call, we told him what we had and a date and time was set. Des arrived right on time, worked non-stop loading his bin, and was gone. His service was professional, efficient, and reasonable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Des O'leary to anyone.
