Our previous plumber recapped the pipe to our furnace's humidifier and less than twenty-four hours later, the line unexpectedly burst when we flushed a toilet! We needed an emergency repair on the weekend and Award Plus was the only plumbing company (including our previous plumber) to respond to our call. Luckily, they were available the same day; had fair rates (especially considering the circumstances); and Will was a friendly, helpful, conscientious plumber. He explained the likely cause to us and presented our options in detail, including his recommendation, which was sound and has lasted these past eight months without a problem. We are so pleased to have a new plumber who is polite and personable, and in whose work we have full confidence. We would highly recommend Will and Award Plus Plumbing and Drains.

Radoslav responded promptly to my message about a stiff/sticky deadbolt and gave me a few options and rates based on the information and photographs I provided. His response was detailed and considered, his rates were fair, and his availability good. Radoslav came out the following morning and was punctual, polite, and efficient. We are very pleased with our new deadbolt and the service provided, and would happily call Radoslav and LocksmithExpress again.

I hired Marko to remove the wall-to-wall carpeting from our family room. He responded to my request quickly and thoroughly. As others have noted, Marko is prompt, polite, and tidy. He ensured the carpet strips were neither too large nor too heavy for the garbage collectors; he deposited the old carpet on the boulevard; he removed the carpet staples with as little damage as possible to the parquet underneath; and he vacuumed up all the leftover debris from the room. I am pleased with Marko's work and will gladly hire him again for future handywork.

The tiles had begun to fall off from our shower/bathtub surround, and there appeared to be some water damage to the backer board. I got several quotes to have the tile surround, shower head, and faucet replaced before deciding to hire TGN Construction based on their process, warranty of workmanship, fair price, and the owner, Elton’s, pleasant and professional demeanor. He took his time assessing the damage and explaining the process, gave me thorough answers to my questions, and I never felt brushed off. The work was completed quickly, the work space was left clean and tidy, and Elton and his assistant John were polite, efficient, and trustworthy. Their administrative assistant, Cleo, was also helpful and reliable. It is approximately one month since the job was completed and we are happy with the work: the tiling looks great and the new faucet works well. The cost quoted below does not include the price of the tiles and shower head/faucet, which we purchased. We would happily hire Elton and TGN Construction again, and recommend them to our family and friends.

I would heartily recommend J. Stewart Roofing. We had a full roof replacement done this summer due to the age of the roof and an interior leak. John, the owner, responded promptly to my request for an estimate and was friendly and personable when we met. I received several quotes from various roofers, the highest of which was double that of the lowest, and the one from J. Stewart Roofing was in the middle range. The quote was not inexpensive, but it seemed fair for the size of the roof and the work required. John struck me as knowledgeable, trustworthy, and fair-minded. One of the things I most appreciated was that, while we waited to have our roof replaced, John was willing to do a temporary fix on the roof in order to stall the interior leak. The fix held out for a while, but there was a period of heavy, prolonged rainfall, and so John had to return, which he did immediately and without question. The crew, led by Ray, was hard-working, polite, and tidy. Ray kept me well-informed about progress on the roof and any changes to the expected schedule. For example, one day the weather forecast called for rain the following afternoon. Ray spoke to me at the end of the day and at the start of the next to explain that the crew might have to stop work earlier than usual, due to the weather, but reassured me that they would continue until the section of the roof they had been working on was completed. It has been over a month since the roof was replaced and it looks good, the leak is gone, and there have been no other problems. Recently, there was a minor home insurance matter that Renai, the financial controller, took care of efficiently.
