I contacted 6 fencing companies with high references from Homestars, and Armstrong Fences from Craigslist. Four companies called me back, two made it to my house for an estimate. We chose Armstrong Fences because we felt that they would be able to make our smaller job a priority, and because their pricing was very competitive, but I was nervous about not hiring through Homestars. No need. They accommodated my request for references, worked delicately with not one, but two uncooperative neighbours, a massive tree with interfering roots, stony soil, and weird gradation issues. They checked with me repeatedly to make sure the fence was being built to my liking. Kier and Dave arrived early, worked hard, and stayed late. I look forward to hiring them again in the future and do not hesitate to recommend them.

Quick and expert installation. Ticked all the boxes that I usually look for: 1) Business owner installs/oversees 2) Competitively priced 3) Honest 4) Respects my home/time. I would recommend Dwayne and Gary without hesitation.

We had been abandoned by our previous electrician close to completion. I had a difficult time getting a response from other electricians for such a small job. The issue became urgent as we needed to be ready for inspection. Dennis came at short notice and solved a complicated mystery wiring that the other electricians incompetence had left. Unlike our previous experience, Dennis did the work himself instead of sending in an army of apprentices. I will certainly use GWE again in the future.

These guys just made a whole lot of silly errors that I can only attribute to carelessness. So much is lopsided and wonky, sockets, fixtures etc. I MYSELF rewired my phone outlets because they had accidentally swapped the coloured wires. Two sockets at in my kitchen have never worked properly, and I just can't bring myself to ask them to come back to fix it - which is fine because I paid them already and they don't return my phone calls. I just feel that a company that can't attend to the small details can't be trusted on the larger details .
