Recently we decided to reno the master bathroom and wanted to include a home audio system. As always I searched on Homestars to find the best professional for the job. After screening several companies that provide high end home audio/video solutions I decided on Yoni Rozovsky (New Vision AV, Inc.). The company has a perfect 10 of 10 star rating on Homestars and the reviews are all outstanding. Yoni has done an extensive number of residential & commercial work throughout the GTA and his clients obviously love his work. Yoni is a true professional and real craftsman. He ensured a compete understanding of my project, helped me prepare for the installation by ensuring I had a licensed electrician install an AC outlet where one was needed. Because of the on going remodel he completed the installation in 2 phases. While the bathroom was gutted he ran all the cables & wiring and installed a WIFI range extender. After the reno was complete he made a second trip to install the speaker, control panel and receiver. He only recommends top shelf equipment, the best of the best. The finished product is beyond our expectations and we can’t say enough good things about what a pleasure it has been to have worked with Yoni on this project. We hope to remodel our family room in a coupe years and I will definitely be contacting Yoni (New Vision AV, Inc.) for this and any other audio video projects. His work is amazing!

Our Master Bathroom was in desperate need of updating. It was approximately 25 years old and had some design/layout issues; like the door to the room only opened about half way because it butted up against the built-in shower. We identified 3 contractors on Homestars and requested bids. All the contractors were professional and all the bids were within a couple thousand dollars of each other. All required that I select and source the finish materials and they would supply the construction materials and then install the finish materials I had chosen. During this process a neighbor and dear friend of ours suggested we also consider Julia Fedak of Platinum Home Designs. I was so impressed with Julia and her staff at the initial meeting I knew I’d found the people that would help bring my vision for the new bathroom to life. Julia’s bid was in line with the others, she would source all the required materials, plus we’d receive the benefit of her help in fine tuning the design so we signed the contracts and got things started right away. Julia has an amazing understanding of design. Not only is she well educated and highly trained, but has years of experience. Julia is also a licensed Realtor and has tremendous insight into the market and what improvements will provide the best returns. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted, but would have made several mistakes were it not for Julia. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, professional, smart, dedicated, and extremely talented. Another benefit of working with Julia is that she identified and sourced all the materials for the project (tile, faucets, the vanity, lighting, glass, etc.) Julia and her assistant would bring me the sample for approval and I didn’t have to drive all over the GTA and trudge through countless stores to find what I wanted. They could not have made this any easier! Julia works with a contractor, Mustafa Alushi let me tell you this fine gentleman is a master craftsman in every sense of the word. His work ethic and attention to detail are unparalleled. He was on time everyday and worked seemingly none stop late into the evenings. He even came in on a Saturday just to lay the tile in the shower floor and when it comes to tile his work is a fine example of old world craftsmanship. We had heated tile flooring, a new 4’x6’ walking shower, and all the walls in the entire room tiled. Mustafa and his assistant, Claudio are the best in the business! We plan to remodel our kitchen and family room in the next few years. I will without a doubt be contacting Julia and Mustafa for these and any other renovations!

We had three trees , (2 in front & 1 in back) that we wanted removed. The 1 in the back yard was over 50'. A neighbor & friend recommended Ryan from Davies Tree Service. Ryan is a great guy; professional, hard working, and really knows his craft. He had both trees down and loaded into his truck in less than a hour. He left the job site pristine. I highly recommend Ryan for any/all tree service work.

We inherited our laundry washing machine & dryer with the purchase of our home approximately 2 years ago. Over the past couple months we noticed the dryer would stop prior to the cloths being completely dry and last week the washing machine still had water in the drum after the final spin cycle so we decided to hire a professional to determine if both machines could be repaired. I found Steve Caldwell / Cascade Appliance on HomeStars and contacted him based on his excellent reviews. Steve arrived right on time. After inspecting both units he not only fixed the problems with both machines but he also took the time to show me how to properly maintain them going forward. Steve is personable and professional; exactly the kind of person we all hope comes to our homes when we need help. I highly recommend Steve and Cascade Appliance. I wouldn't call anyone else!

The toilet unexpectedly clogged. I tried to unclog it using a plunger with no success. I called DrainCom around 4:30PM and Boris arrived a few hours later. He's knowledgably, professional, and friendly. After inspecting the problem toilet, he also inspected the rest of the related plumbing explaining what he would be doing and what I should expect. He then corrected the problem. In total it only took him about 30 minutes. Thank you Boris and DrainCom!

We purchased our house approximately 2 years ago. The furnace and air conditioner are Train branded and were originally installed by Colbert Heating & Cooling. We initially contacted the company as the blower had failed and needed replaced. Joe arrived on time, determined the failed part, and ordered it the same day. A couple days later when the part arrived he was back and had our system working again perfectly. I greatly appreciated his advise regarding regular maintenance and which type of filter to use. Everyone at the company is professional, knowledgeable, & friendly. We've used them for all our furnace and air conditioning maintenance ever since.

Our driveway was in desperate need of sealing. It was looking faded and worn. Dave power washed the entire surface and then put on two coats of high quality sealer. He wouldn't take a dime until he was done and we were completely satisfied. Our diriveway looks amazing thanks to Dave & DM Sealing. After seeing his work my neighbor hired Dave to seal his interlocking stone driveway and it turned out beautiful as well.

Our lawn started looking brown in spots over the hottest part of the summer. Scott recommended upgrading some of the sprinkler heads. He also found that one of the electrical lines needed replacing. He completed the project in one day, left the yards and sight immaculate. I highly recommend Scott and Fountain Irrigation.

Our entire backyard is bordered by a 20' tall cedar hedge. It hadn't been cut in several years and was in dire need of both thinning and lowering. Jerome worked tirelessly on two of the hottest days of the summer. His work is superb. He's a perfectionist. He cleaned up everyday and left the yard looking amazing. He even brought donuts one morning. A super nice guy and great service. I highly recommend Jerome; he's wonderful! We plan to have him back on an annual bases going forward.

We bought a 19 year old house and all 13 windows plus two of the outside doors needed replaced. We had three companies bid on the job. We wanted the old windows replaced brick to brick with new vinyl windows, with traditional white grills, white on the inside and sandstone colored on the outside. John Gainham from Clera Windows and Doors/FM Industries was the best prepared sales person to present to us. John is very personable, professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He’s the salesperson we all wish to have visit us in our homes. No pressure, great follow up, and attention to detail, the whole package! Clera's bid came in the highest of the 3 bids (50% higher than the #2 bid), but after we met Richard Warren, Clera's window installer for our project, we knew that we wanted him to install our windows. John worked with us to rebid the job and when all was said and done we paid Clera 28% more than had we gone with the next lower bid. I mention this not to imply that Clera is overpriced, but to highlight just how much we value their product(s) and more importantly and especially their service. Look, you can buy the best windows in the world, but if they’re not installed properly you won’t get the benefits and performance you’re paying for. Conversely you can buy mediocre windows and if they’re installed properly they’ll look nice and function just fine. Clera makes a good product/window to be sure and allot of other manufacturers do too, but highly skilled tradesmen like Richard and his Team (Trevor and Michael) are the key to a superior product. Richard, Trevor and Michael, arrived on time every day, worked seemingly non-stop from the moment they arrived until well after dark, left the job site spotless every night, and delivered the most amazing workmanship I’ve ever seen. Richard Warren is a true Master Craftsman in every sense of the word(s). He’s extremely talented, passionate about his work, an absolute perfectionist, and his attention to detail is second to none. He always made time to answer questions and keep us informed on the installation details, process, and progress. The whole Team (Richard, Michael, & Trevor) take great pride in their work and it shows. They take the time necessary to ensure their work is perfect, spot on. When the windows came from the FM Industries factory the sills were too big and they had the nail flange used on new build/construction surrounds attached. Richard and company removed each and every one of the sills, cut them down to size on site, reattached them using screws (not the plastic brackets they originally shipped with), removed the nail flanges, and then installed the windows. If you look at the attached pictures you’ll notice the caulking looks like rubber… Small, perfectly smooth lines (no blobs or smears). Notice on the bay window how the upper cladding is made from a single sheet of aluminum (not multiple sections like you see on most windows). At the end of the day if you get Richard Warren and his crew to install your windows you’re going to have beautiful windows that function the way they are designed to with all the goodness (energy savings, moisture prevention, aesthetics, and noise reduction) you’re paying for.

Some of the wiring to the back porch lights on the house we just bought was done improperly. It was exposed on the outside of the house. I contacted Ed and made an appointment to have him come out to fix this and 3 other small wiring issues. Ed showed up on time and did a fantastic job. He's vey personable and professional. He also spent time to give me a quote on two other future projects. Ed and Jans Electric will be our electrician from now on. He's excellent and his pricing is very reasonable. I highly recommend Jans Electric!

There was a gas fireplace in the basement of the house we just purchased which wasn't installed/vented properly. We decided to remove it so we contacted Chris. He was very helpful and answered all my questions about how best to proceed with this project. He arrived on time as promised and had the line capped in minutes. I highly recommend Chris and Sunray! Great service and Great people!

These guys are the best of the best! Everyone we dealt with from the initial estimate to the final sign off was professional, on time, and the workmanship is unparalleled. The roof looks amazing and best of all it will never have to be replaced again! :-)

Nick arrived ahead of schedule. Diagnosed the problem and had it repaired in under an hour. He had to cut out some sheet rock from the ceiling below this bathroom to expose the problem, but we're delighted to have this fixed. I highly recommend Nick and Public Plumbing!

DryShield offers a backup pump that augments your exiting sump pump. However it also has an alarm and a backup battery. So no matter if the power goes out in the middle of a storm or your existing pump dies in the middle of the night you're protected and your basement won't flood. Thanks for the peace of mind DryShield.

One of the upstairs showers in our new house was leaking water through the ceiling into the mud room. I called several plumbers, but no one seemed interested in helping until I called Aqua. Ray showed up and had the problem diagnosed in minutes. He was very personable and very professional. I hope never to have a problem like this again, but if I do I trust the pros at Aqua!

Enchanted Chimney Sweeps is very professional. I made the appointment to have the 2 gas fireplaces in our new house checked, cleaned, and capped. They called the night prior to my appointment to confirm. Their technician, Tom was prompt, friendly, and did a fantastic job. He took the time to explain everything he was doing in advance and went above & beyond the call of duty to inform me about potential problems with the installation of our basement fireplace. I highly recommend Enchanted Chimney Sweeps!

Our move took place over 2 days. Picking up from both a storage facility and our condo. Everyone we dealt with from Rent-a-Son was personable and professional. These guys truly go the extra mile to ensure your belongings arrive intact and that you are fully satisfied with their work. Their estimate was accurate, they crew was on time everyday, and they worked like mad men. Rent-a-Sons is THE best movers I've ever dealt with, period!

Jeremy arrived promptly at 8:00AM, removed the sheet rock, and injected the expanding sealing compound. All in less than 30 minutes. He was personable and professional. Plus their work is guaranteed for life. It doesn't get better than this!

We wanted our living room flat screen TV and speaker system mounted on the wall. We also needed to buy appropriate shelving and have it installed. Dale turned out to be the one stop shop for everything we needed. He arrived on time as promised and completed the work in about an hour. Dale is amazing! He relocated the electrical outlet so that it’s hidden behind the glass shelving unit he provided and installed. He also provided the necessary mounting hardware for the TV, installed it, and hung the TV. Then he mounted the speakers, reinstalled the cable box, stereo receiver, and DVD player. He left the job site spotless and his work looks like it was a custom job. The pictures don’t do justice to his skills and workmanship. I highly recommend Dale and High Definition Installations! Everyone we dealt with at 416-So-Clean was great! They're knowledable and professional. They arrived on time, completed the work ahead of schedule, did an amazing job, and completed the work over 10% below the written estimate they provided. I wouldn't use or reccomend anyone else. 416-So-Clean is the Best in the Business. Period!

I have moved several times over the past 6 years and this was by far the best experience I've ever had with a moving company! Zoltan and Nick were on time, professional, well organized, and hard working. To top things off their service is affordable! The moved items from our condo and from another location where we had loaned a family member some furniture. If you're planning a move this is the company you're looking for!!! I can't say enough good things about Rent-a-Son!!!!!

Adrian was on time, professional, and friendly. He did a great job and was very neat about it too. We couldn't be more pleased and highly reccomend them. We're planning to install under the counter lightling inn the kitchen and plan to contact Rico and ask for Adrian.

We were told it would take 3 to 5 weeks from the day we signed their contract until our blinds we installed. After 4 weeks passed without hearing from them. I contacted our sales person, Nadia. She told me that there had been some delays at the Hunter Douglas factory which would delay our installation 2 to 3 additional weeks. I contacted Hunter Douglas directly and learned that Nadia not been honest with me.....Alleen's hadn't placed the order with the factory for almost 3 weeks after we contracted them. When confronted with the facts Nadia didn’t even have the intestinal fortitude to apologize for trying to deceive us. I can forgive an honest mistake, but this I can't abide.
