We had our bathroom renovated a year ago. Recently we noticed drips down through the dining room ceiling below. We had the ceiling removed to assess damage and called Mr. Rooter. Rick Phillips was our technician. What we thought was a gasket problem was carefully diagnosed and explained step by step as we learned it was more complex. A 12" toilet had been installed instead of a 10" toilet and it could not be tightened to the floor. Also a flang had been placed on top of another flang when our bathroom floor was tiled and it was not secured. When the original deteriorated flang was removed by Rick the old floor (also not removed during renovations) had so much moisture damage it could not be used to secure a replacement flang. This meant the toilet could not be installed. Rick problem solved a way to rebuild the floor through the ceiling below including an ingenious wooden donut idea on to which the flang could be attached. He went out, bought the wood, jigsawed the required parts, installed the base, replaced a pipe leading into the toilet, then set up the new toilet. Each step was explained and we are completely satisfied with the entire process and outcome. He shared many useful ideas about how to maintain healthy drains and gave us many tips with regards to future renovations. We can't praise this man's service enough. He was patient, professional, punctual, careful, friendly, gave excellent explanations and answered many questions. If Mr. Rooter decides to do a commercial, this man's smile would light up the screen. The job was more expensive than we anticipated but the costs were pulled from an itemized list in a Mr Rooter price binder. We are 100% confident and satisfied with the results.
