Huge mistake. A 6 week job took 7 months. Very good sales pitch followed by excuse after excuse. Had to employ another contractor to replace shoddy workmanship. Don't be taken in by the nice guy demeanour. Shawn is first and foremost a salesman. A very good one. The project went well over his estimate. He told us that he would keep us informed of cost overruns. Never happened. In fact communication with him or anyone at his company was almost non-existant. His voice mail was almost always full. He was rarely on-site (except to pick up money). Very quick on that score. If you do decide to give him work, and strongly advise against it, make sure you get everything in writing. We are seniors and feel we were taken advantage of. Our experience was stressful, never knowing when an employee was going to show up. Often when they did it was for a couple of hours, here and there. In a word, our experience was a nightmare.

There were numerous issues with our kitchen reno project. We were informed the project would take approx 1 week. It took 1 month. We are now in the process of fixing the pot lights installed incorrectly. They were not insulated properly. The exhaust fan over the stove does not work efficiently due to inadequate venting and poor materials used. A silicone sealant was used which is toxic. Charles of Robinhood Renovations was very difficult to get hold of. Nice guy and pleasant to deal with but unreliable. Promises made to drop by several times to assess and address incomplete work. Hit & miss. We were also informed that he would do a walkthru at job completion.. this did not occur.. we are still waiting 7 months later. As a result we hired(via referral) another contractor to complete the project. work but hit & miss.
