Nice windows but difficult to clean.
I was very happy to get all new windows after waiting for years. I am also happy with my windows and their overall appearance. What was not taken into account at the time of my in-home consultation, was I have shutters. The shutter frame around the window (double-hung) does not allow for the window to flip down for cleaning. It only opens a few inches making them quite difficult to clean. I would have hoped this detail would have been picked up prior to the final window style selection in order to eliminate this problem.

Hello Mary. The double hung windows do have a top sash that will come fully down, in addition to a bottom that raises all the way up. Even if you cannot tilt the windows in, you can open both sashes fully and clean the outside easily from inside.
