I have had my patio cover just over a year and have been thoroughly delighted with it. I wrote a five star review when it was initially installed because I was so impressed by the service and care I received. I am even more impressed now that Jason asked to do a follow up visit to see how things were going. Awnings and More is a heart based company! They really care about their customers and want to ensure they are providing the best service possible. It is also important that they work with you to suggest the product that meet the unique needs of each customer. I am always prepared for an up-sell when dealing with many companies. In my situation, Jason did a down-sell! :) He suggested a solution that was less expensive and more suitable for my needs than what I had been thinking. You do not need to look any further - meet with Jason and work with a team that excels in their craft - Awnings and More is all you need!

I am absolutely thrilled with my patio cover and the service I received from Awnings and More! I was impressed by Jason when we first met. I thought I wanted a rolling cover. Jason said, "Let's start with what your problem is and then discuss your options". When I told him what the issue was, he recommended a patio cover that would be less expensive, and meet my needs. George was also great to work with regarding the installation and the need to hold off on the project (for several months) until my home was repaired from the July 2, 2021 hailstorm. As soon as things could get going, George kept me updated on every step. I really did not think it would get installed until Spring but the weather was nice and his team got it done at the end of January :) If you are looking for a great product, reasonable cost and great craftsmanship - Awnings and more is your answer!

I called this company because of the positive reviews on Homestars. I am glad to be able to provide my own very positive review in the hopes others will know this is a great company to deal with My garage door would not open all the way without me pushing it when it was very cold outside. This had gone on for over a year. One morning I pushed too hard and it would not work at all. I called the afternoon of Dec. 29, not really thinking I would get a real person during the holidays, but a real person answered! I explained the situation and said that I had already checked to see if the chain had come off which it hadn't. I really appreciated that the person I spoke with (sorry I am not good with names) took the time to listen and that he asked questions. He gave me the best and worse case scenarios and was clear about what the technician would be checking for. The technician came the next day, right on time. I wish I could remember his name because he was wonderful. Even though I said that he was welcome to leave his shoes on for the five steps it would take to go from my front door to the garage door, he said he preferred to take them off as that was just how he liked to do things. I thought this was a sign of his positive regard for his customers :) After his thorough assessment of the door and opener he said that he could do a quick fix which might last a month or two, or do the job right and replace the entire unit. I thought it was nice that he provided me the options and explained things in a way I could understand. I decided to have the unit replaced. He was very thorough with the installation and clean up. He also took the time to make sure that I knew how to operate the controls and understood everything I needed to know to be comfortable working it. I am very glad I called this company and would highly recommend them!

I decided to hire Abacus Landscaping because of the great reviews on Homestars. I am so glad I did. My fence was blown down in a recent storm and I needed to replace it. I contacted Wayne, he came to see the site and discuss my needs on Saturday, he emailed the quote on Sunday, the work was started Monday and completed on Tuesday! I had told Wayne I was not interested talking to any other company and I suppose he could have taken advantage of that. However, based on the reviews on Homestars I knew I could trust him to be fair, and he was. I appreciated that Wayne contacted me for clarification regarding the work. It was very important to him that I understood the process and the implications of the decisions I made. I believed his efforts to communicate with me demonstrated his commitment to ensuring I would be happy with the end product. I met Steve and Nick near the end of the first day and was impressed with their friendliness and hard work, despite getting eaten by mosquitoes. The fence is beautiful and is nicer than I could have imagined. They did a great job of cleaning up the site and removing the old materials. I highly recommend Abacus Landscaping. Forget the rest and just call the best - Abacus - like I did :)

I found Natural Landscapes on Homestars and am very pleased to write a review of my experience with this company. I contacted them a year ago to discuss plans to completely renovate my front and back yards. The previous homeowners were avid gardeners and spent hours on the various gardens they designed. I am not a gardener and felt badly that I could not maintain the gardens. I knew there had to be a way to make my yard a beautiful space that I look at with love and appreciation, rather than dread. After my mom died in June 2014, I contacted Doug and told him I wanted a space to honour my parents, neither of whom inherited their parents' gardening genes. I met with Doug and explained my lack of skill and interest in gardening. He created a beautiful design that would achieve peace and serenity for me. Doug also was honest in letting me know there would be some work required as there is no such thing as a maintenance free yard :) The project started this May and I was impressed by the hard work of the team. Every day I came home to new and exciting changes. The team was respectful and accommodating to my requests. It took a few weeks to get everything planted, and that was fine as I knew the company had several big projects they were working on. I had also told them that I was in no hurry. I now have a beautiful space that is soul enriching and peaceful. The pond and granite water fountains are a highlight and help to cut down the traffic noise from nearby 22x. I have had wonderful comments from my neighbours and have also met many people because they stop to tell me how lovely the yard is. As the weeks pass by, I am aware of the changing colours that present themselves due to Doug's choice of plants and trees. My yard is a living canvas and I am thrilled to experience the delight of the extraordinary beauty that evolves as the season changes. Doug is an exceptional artist when it comes to landscape design. I have even found that I don't mind the watering and minor weeding when I know I am taking care of such a beautiful space!
