Sarah Kidder is a fantastic interior designer. I hired Sarah after purchasing a new home - I wanted to create a customized look that felt pulled together but reflected my personality. Sarah did an amazing job -- she created a recommended design for the whole house, and totally nailed it. She came up with lots of ideas I never would have considered, but were just perfect. Sarah coordinated the whole house design - from paint colour selection, choosing and even purchasing furniture as well as accessories. She has a unique talent of really understanding a client's needs and preferences, and translating it into a space that feels very individualized, and is highly functional. I wondered if a designer would tend to impose her own preferences and style, and found Sarah very refreshing in being totally dialled into my particular taste and whims. Sarah is the ideal design partner -- she goes the extra mile in finding creative solutions, and is also very committed to sourcing products at the best possible price for her clients. It would have taken me 10 times as long to do what she accomplished, and it no doubt would have been a more costly and amateur result. I can't recommend Sarah highly enough!

Vala Home is in a league of its own when it comes to home repair and renovation. I got top-notch service in a range of areas including painting, installations, deck construction and odd jobs. Richard is exceptionally committed to quality and to being responsive to client needs. He shows up when he says he will show up, does what he says he's going to do, and charges what was agreed upon. These sound like the basics, but they are the fundamentals that are missing from so many contractors. I can't recommend Vala Home highly enough!
