I was lucky to have a friend recommend Glenwood to me as a knowledgable and reliable tree service last year. Since then, I have had them come to me twice, each time for a challenging job. Both times they arrived on time, brought their state-of-the-art equipment, and proceeded to do a great job pruning a 20 foot cedar hedge and cutting back an overgrown large maple. Then they ground up the cuttings and cleaned up the yard. The crew each time was pleasant, helpful with advice, and followed through on my requests. I would highly recommend Glenwood Tree Service as a company that provides excellent service at a fair price.

Having dealt with this company favourably in the past, I turned to them again when my toilets backed up. Greg came out promptly to assess the situation, and gave me good advice on how to proceed with the city first. After that, George and Greg quickly came back and fixed my immediate problem, without charging me separately. We agreed to go ahead and replace the clogged old clay pipes, and the job was done within a week, in one day. George came back one final time to replace some parts on my toilet, without additional charge. The final price of the overall job was very fair, and I had flexibility in the payment. An inherently stressful and costly plumbing experience turned out to be quite positive in the professional and knowledgeable hands of Greg and George. Did I mention they are also very pleasant?

About 14 years ago, I had Enso Gardens Ltd. put in a natural stone patio and footpath in my backyard. I was so pleased with their work, that I recently located them again for an additional footpath. They not only gave me the best estimate, but they created a beautiful footpath in a very short time (3 days, working around the rain). When I wasn't happy with the colour of some of the stone, they readily changed it. As well as doing a fantastic job, Enso also cleaned the area around it very well, and did not stint on any materials they used. After several quotes from other electricians, I settled on Peter from Sigma Electric for an extensive rewiring job. Initially, he impressed me as being personable, honest and knowledgable. Peter delivered on his promise and did an excellent, thorough job on the rewiring. He came punctually each day, worked through with hardly a break, and got the job finished within the promised time and budget. As well, he was a most pleasant and professional person - you felt you were in good hands with him. I will have him back in the future, and would highly recommend him to anyone.

In November 2014 I had an issue with my water shut-off valve. I found Advanced Plumbing in the Yellow Pages, and a very pleasant, helpful man named Greg came out, provided good advice and did not charge for the visit. I called Advanced again in June, 2015 with a new problem. This time Greg's brother George came out promptly and was able to resolve a tricky plumbing issue efficiently and without mess or damage. As well, he finished the complicated job in one afternoon, and charged me a fair price. George was knowledgable, professional and accommodating. I would definitely recommend George and Advanced Plumbing to anyone.
