Oresta in Burlington

I am still in my Senator Home purchased in 1996. It was the first project Senator did in Burlington, in the golf community of Millcroft. I was lucky to have a great sale gal and was able to negotiate many upgrades without extra cost. Many of my neighbours did have leaking ceilings and floors, likely I did not. The only problems I had with them are as follows: 1) The cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms were done by Canac Kitchens which is fortunately now out of business. I paid an extra $1,000.00 for a six foot pantry in my Kitchen and an extra $500.00 to have three drawers in my ensuite bathroom instead of the traditional two door cabinets. I have had terrible discolouration with all these cupboards and not uniformly... the pantry has two sections much whiter than the other. The kitchen cupboards too have some door yellow, some white. Also, while I have a relatively large kitchen I have smaller than usual drawers for utensils etc. Also Canac did a poor job of planning the drawers and so instead of putting new faces on these cabinets I have to remove everything and start over from scratch. 2) I was told the grading of the street would prohibit a two car garage and was forced to go with a single. Once the house was finished it was very clearly the grading would have easily accommodated a two car garage. Overall I am still very happy with my home and am more impressed with it's huge increase in sales value. While I still love my home I would have tremendous reservations recommending Senator to anyone else.

Guy was great....not only did he call to say he was running late ..which is rare these days..he showed up with the most amazing work table/trailer. He was very interested in doing the best job he could for me, and while he was running late he finished the job, but resheduled in two weeks just to ensure the sliders where continuing to work properly. After he left, I couldn't figure out what the issue is. The screen door closes perfectly and the sliders are not a problem at all. He even took the time to show me how to adjust the wheels with a screw driver myself. Being a single women, I appreciate all the help and advice I can get for small home repairs. He is definitely worth the two week wait to see him. Being busy is the sign of a great repair/installation person.

Steve came to fix a tear in my red couch which had been bugging me for 3 years...too busy to have anyone fix it. I also had two small tears in the piping on the arm and ottoman trim. He was very cleaver in fixing those two problems so you can't see the tear. With matching red thread and 20 minutes later the couch was as good as new....I feel like I have a new couch all over again. Thank you Steve.

Chris was amazing to work with...even though I didn't know exactly how to describe what I wanted he was able to figure out what I needed The turnaround time was just a few days. Chris delivered my chair just days after I brought him my fabric to match an existing love seat and sofa. The finished product came with double piping and a matching kidney cushion and furthermore, since the fabric was reversible, he took the initiative to change the look of the pillow by alternating the fabric to give the chair a little personality. They are a little out of the way, but this husband wife team are definitely worth the drive to Edvac street in Brampton.

I have often popped in to her shop to get some decorating advice and Zana, the owner has been so helpful in understanding my needs, taste and budget. Her shop is well stocked with many choices of fabrics for any of your decorating needs and she has actual samples of all the various drapery styles hanging up so you can see the finished product. Moreover, she is very knowledgeable about many different types of fabrics, whether is is a silk for a curtain, a polyester for upholstery, sunbrella for outdoor patio cushions...she is a fountain of knowledge and is extremely creative at solving all your decorating needs. Finally she has such a bubbly engaging personality, and makes you feel so special and glad that you walked in her store.
