Convertibles quote was better than the other two we received. This was for the exact same Mitsubishi equipment. Mikes communication during the sales process was a real confidence builder, as wed never had AC and didnt know the ins and outs of the process. Roop was a fantastic and efficient installer. The only opportunity for improvement would have been better coverage of the electrical and drain lines in the house.

We have a typical, cozy (36 x 17) backyard in Leslieville that was basically a parking pad and two 1x10 garden beds. Fences on two sides were falling down (being held up with rope). We asked Trevor for some design advice and to help us create a nice mix of useable space for eating/playing and garden area, in addition to new fences. Trevor worked with us to create a simple, pleasing design that makes great use of the space. He had great suggestions for different bricks at different price points, where to place the garden, and fence design (The picture below shows the amazing stone work they completed). Trevor was really helpful at working with us to stay in budget and was an overall great communicator. Not to mention, he and his crew (two happy, hard-working guys) were wonderful to work with and lovely to have around for seven days. Highly, highly recommend. Get in touch early, as these guys book up fast!

Fenton came by to give a quote and some recommendations for our small project (45 sq. ft of backsplash tile). He was very friendly and honest and gave a fair quote and timeframe. Fenton showed up the next week and worked very carefully to ensure that all tile was level and carefully cut then placed. He finished everything on time and was great to have around. We would definitely call Fenton again to complete projects both big and small. Highly recommend. Clark

Paul and his team were fantastic and their work looks great. His estimate was fair, he was on time, and communicated with us throughout the project so we were aware of what he was doing and why. Paul's assistant was also very helpful and and did excellent work. They cleaned up everything and even came back to touch up a bit of tuck-pointing a couple weeks later. Highly recommend!!!

Ken and his team visited us twice before starting work and explained all the work and all the costs associated. It was very helpful to know what had to be done vs. what could wait and how that would affect the overall cost. Donald finished the work quickly and professionally, cleaned up everything and communicated with us each day to update on their progress. I'd recommend Howieco to anyone!

I called at 4:30 one afternoon to get an estimate and was told that someone would be by around 5. At 5, Khem arrived and we discussed the option for replacing the galvanized pipe and running a faucet to the exterior of the house for a hose hook-up. He gave me a quote after we talked about his recommendations. I felt very comfortable with his suggestions and his quote. He started the next day and was all cleaned up before I got home. Work looks great, was done quickly, for a good price, and Khem was very friendly and helpful. In under 24 Hours I had an estimate, a thorough explanation, and the work was 100% and cleaned up! As a sidenote - They did not charge for an estimate, which it seems many plumbers do. Before I called New Canadian, I called the group who were listed above them on Homestars. The receptionist was fairly unpleasant and was shocked that I wouldn't pay for an estimate. I'm not a plumbing expert, so I didn't want to have someone come start working based on my own assessment.

Mike was great to work with and seemed happy to work on a smaller job for us. He was very accommodating and revised our estimate several times. The quality of all the work was great and Mike was a great contractor for this job. Thanks!

Jason spent over an hour with me discussing our roof project and provided a lot more information than any of the other three company's estimates that we'd received. I felt quite educated after speaking with Jason and I felt that he understood what we wanted and didn't want. We spoke several times on the phone and Jason seemed to have a very genuine interest in making sure that we were happy throughout the process. The crew got our roof done in one day (eaves and fascai came later) and were great guys. They helped me lift a dishwasher into the house, which was a big help, and they seemed happy to do it. The lot was left cleaner than it was when they started! Thanks guys!

Having seen a few of Big Ben's dumpsters in our neighbourhood, I called on Saturday (of a long weekend) to get an estimate on removing some drywall, wood, plaster, etc from some demolition in our basement. Ben showed up within an hour, gave me a price, said he's be back with an empty bin, and sure enough, 45 minutes later he and I were loading everything up. Ben drove me to the bank to get $$ then back home, too. We also had some concrete that needed to be recycled - Ben said he could do this later that week, but an hour later, both he and his son, David, decided to come back (about 6 p.m. on a Saturday) because they had a little extra space and wanted to help us get rid of the rest of our stuff. Great help on very shrot notice. Great price and very friendly guys.
