We purchased a new build from Primont Homes in 2012 and moved in September 2013. When we moved in the balcony was still unfinished, and we were told that the external work would continue for a while. Once the balcony was finished we noticed that there was a hole in our back entrance brick wall, with exposed wood. We reported this on our 30-day Tarion submission and have been following up with Primont ever since. The customer service rep kept referring us back and forth between the masonry company and the aluminum siding company. Just today, I noticed someone had glued a piece of aluminum flashing over the wood which had already started to weather after being exposed throughout the winter/spring. An even more shady job as its not even completely sealed. This is unacceptable and I'm still trying to get in touch with Primont to have the problem fixed properly. Update - today a Customer Care rep from Primont came to meet with us. He admitted that a mistake was initially made when building the wall/balcony and that patch work was done. He said they are 'allowed to make modifications to external components' and refused to correct the mistake. This is infuriating and completely unacceptable.
