After a disastrous renovation, Prestige came in to check our wiring for safety, re-install several pot lights and run some cabling for us. They delivered top quality work and were very pleasant to deal with. They return calls promptly and show up when they say they will. Subsequently we have had Prestige back to repair our furnace and air conditioner and to install a humidifier. And it has been just as good an experience as the first time. This is an excellent quality, ethical and professional contractor. We will recommend them without reservation.

The contractor delivered extremely poor quality work. Floors were not level, rooms were painted the wrong colours, 1 coat of paint not the promised (and budgeted 3 coats), cabinets were installed incorrectly, door handles were installed upside-down, city inspector was not called in before closing the walls, spindles in stair railings were spaced unevenly. The staff left a mess every time they were on site. Invoices were very vague and some did not include a GST number. We asked several time for details on the billings. We did get details on materials but never got any information on hours of labour. We found errors in the invoices - things added incorrectly and sometimes added in twice. Final billings were approximately 100% over the agreed to estimates at the outset of the project with NO WARNING WHATSOEVER from the contractor. When we asked for invoice details he replied by placing a lien on our house. Two years later we finally settled ... good news is we paid him nothing on the settlement!

Every member of Dave's team was an exceptional professional. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. The work was done on schedule and the budget was met, as promised. Everyone from DZ that we met has been pleasant to deal with and, for very good reason, take pride in their work. From now on, DZ Carpentry is the only company we would consider for a renovation project.
