We noticed wasps going in and out of the bricks of our home in our backyard, so we called North Star and Shakeel explained that they were yellowjackets. He had a lot of knowledge and was very friendly on the phone. He offered to come the next day to dust/spray for the wasps. He was very thorough and we saw no more activity after he left. A few weeks later we had another location at the front of our house where we had the same issue, and he was able to come out the same day to dust/spray the new location. He even offered some tips of potential spots we can close up to minimize opportunities for others to return. I am glad we have someone reliable with fair pricing who we can call for these types of issues!

We tried to replace our old noisy bathroom fans ourselves because a home inspector said they could be a fire risk if they overheated. The big box stores mostly sell fans complete with the entire metal casing and we made a mess trying to get the old casing out. We gave up, called John on a Saturday night, and he came the next day around noon. Within 20 minutes he had both new fans installed and had fixed up the metal casing with no mess and no fuss. He was very friendly and told lots of stories and gave us tips for other things around the house. We really appreciated having the work completed so quickly and now we have an easily maintainable way to keep our fans clean and safe! Plus they are so quiet - you don't realize how loud your old fan is until you have a new one installed. Thanks for everything, John! We'd definitely recommend him if you need any help with a bathroom fan.

We decided to treat ourselves to an early Christmas gift and schedule a Deep Clean so our house would be nice and refreshed before the holiday season. The process to get a quote was easy and Mary was friendly and helpful. The website only mentioned Oakville and Burlington, but when I inquired directly I was able to book even though we live in Brampton. Pilar came as scheduled on our chosen cleaning day and did a great job. When she left, the house looked tidy and neat from top to bottom. We were very impressed with the service and are looking to book a regularly scheduled cleaning in the new year.

We had our roof done by Green Metal and it was a smooth process end-to-end. John came out the next day after our initial call to meet outside - socially distanced and with masks. He was able to show us samples of different styles and colours that were available and he completed measurements and gave us a quote that day. He was also very patient in answering all of our questions. Within a few weeks of booking and paying the deposit, the roof installer completed the work. Pavel was professional and did a great job, he also did a cleanup each night before leaving. Once finished, John returned to do an inspection and also provided us some photos from a drone camera of the new roof. So far everything has gone smoothly and we are very happy with our decision to go with Green Metal. Everyone we worked with was friendly and the roof came out looking great! The prices were also competitive with other quotes that we received.

We lost some shingles over a windy weekend and Marcelo was able to come fix it the next day. He provided an estimate up front and advised what conditions might cause the cost to be more than expected. He worked quickly and sent pictures of the replaced shingles and we paid the agreed upon flat rate. He also provided information about the current health of our roof and a timeline of when it should be replaced. Marcelo was very friendly and we would use MCBM again.

Mark and Jay were able to schedule an appointment soon after we submitted for the quote online. They were friendly and knowledgeable and explained the process so we knew what to expect. They wore masks and gloves and kept distant when they could, so we were happy with how they handled the COVID procedures. We did have a mix up where the automated site under-quoted us, but Mark was kind enough to honour the quote. We were shown before and after pictures of the work and everything was tidied up before they left. We would definitely recommend their services to family and friends.

We decided to add a carpet runner to our main staircase and wall-to-wall carpeting to our basement staircase to help our dog get around the house easier. End to end our experience with Carpet Palace was very smooth and easy. We went to the showroom and George showed us some appropriate options for what we were looking for. He was very nice and clearly very knowledgeable. We were able to take home loaner samples to help us decide which carpet to select by seeing what it would look like in the space. Arranging for the installation was quick and easy and Haji did a beautiful job installing. He was polite and cleaned up before heading out. Overall, Carpet Palace made the experience easy from start to finish so we are very happy that we chose them!

We are so appreciative of Martino HVAC and our service technician Kyle. Our AC stopped working and it was a stat holiday during a heatwave of +40 degrees Celsius temperatures. Kyle was still able to make it out on the same day. He gave us a time bracket and arrived near the beginning of the bracket with a call to say how far out he was. He checked the vents, furnace, thermostat, electrical panel and AC unit and quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in 15 minutes - the part was on hand. He clearly explained the issue and answered all questions we had. The price was fair and came with a one year warranty on the new part. We are really impressed with the quick and friendly service and price. We definitely recommend this company.

We purchased a new home and after our first bath, we found water dripping through the ceiling to our living room below. We called Mr. Rooter and the agent was very nice - within 1 hour we had an appointment for the next morning. The serviceman George arrived on time and was very friendly. He did a diagnostic check to determine the problem and was very thorough. He provided us a price before proceeding and explained the issue very clearly to us. We felt comfortable and he proceeded with the fix that day. There was an additional problem found which led to costs being added to the overall price, but George thoroughly explained why this occurred and received approval before continuing. He even arranged for a water damage expert to come the same day to check for mould and advise on any additional work that would be required after the plumbing issue was resolved. The water damage expert was professional and friendly and verified that we did not require their assistance because the damage was minimal. It was a big piece of mind to get that confirmation. Overall we were very happy with the service and felt comfortable through the whole process.
