Good Info. Solid recommendations. Rock bottom price. Smooth delivery. Exceeded our service expectations from what we had recently experienced elsewhere. During our purchase, Kevin outlined and reviewed warranty considerations offering his unbiased advice as well as tips to save us money. He then proceeded to sell us our chosen appliance below MSRP, lowering the price not once but twice. After the purchase was made we were not forgotten. Our purchase was a special order from out east. Kevin and his team expertly followed up on our behalf & kept us up-to-date with shipping of the appliance to his store and later delivery to our home. About 10 days later on delivery day it all went efficiently with no mis-haps. The delivery team (Marvin & Holly & crew) had set it up the day prior so it all went smooth. Called ahead and parked their truck taking into consideration our neighbours. Our appliance was carefully off-loaded, un-boxed, inspected and set up for us, making sure everything was A-OK. All completed within 10 minutes. Friendly, courteous and right on-point. Just some background to share. Major Appliances came recommended to us from other business streams – the manufacturer of the appliance brand and model (also carefully researched) that we selected, as well as two Appliance Extended Warranty Services. Each one of them knew of Major Appliances and had dealt with them. We discovered Major can obtain appliance models that other retailers simply cannot get because of their supplier relationships. (In our case, our choice was a Canadian appliance manufacturer (based in Guelph, Ontario) that was somehow overlooked by other outlets so the relationship that Major Appliances had established with them was very helpful.) Also, we found Kevin very good with his knowledge. Although ours was just one appliance, he gave us his full attention and seemed to go above and beyond. There was no pressure and he did not waste our time. He trimmed our delivery cost given its size to save us even further money. We found that Major has a unique model of business – it also does appliance servicing. Kevin showed us how they are able to track purchase & servicing history (if any) of the customer’s appliance, adding that this is an open book that can be shared and sent to the customer anytime they need it. (... sounds as organized as my wife, and then some!) As well, much of what he carries is at wholesale which he strives to pass along the savings as much as he can to his customers. He shared that his goal is to grow his customer base and hold onto a customer for life. We feel rewarded twice over for our quality appliance at a good price, smoothly delivered, and for having discovered this local retailer, who we feel is set apart from its competitors in the local Calgary market. We had also considered major big-box stores. But we are very happy to have followed through with Major Appliances. Because of this we are pleased to share our experience because appliance retailers like this are helpful to know. Highly Recommended. When my elderly parent’s garage door opener stopped working after 26 years, we needed a reliable quality replacement at a reasonable cost by a solid local company / installer. We shopped the local Calgary market in June of 2017 and of the 11 garage door installation companies we shortlisted, we found The Garage Door Inc to be the ultimate best based on a number of factors that we carefully considered. Foremost, we found Al to be a sincere & caring reflective listener, addressing each of our concerns & being completely upfront with product recommendation insights that he shared. Our expectations were further matched & exceeded with a smooth & efficient installation (in under an hour) of the door opener by Randall, booked within a week of our first contact. Randall took the extra time to explain the new features and operation to my elderly parents and myself and also provided us with a 2nd (additional) remote which will assist my Dad considerably with his access to / from the garage. He also insured that they were comfortable with is operation and control location. I must share that the quote provided to us by Al was the most affordable of all the company / installers surveyed (range of quotes received were $369 to $600, same criteria), although we did not base our decision entirely on this alone. Furthermore, right from the outset, Al based his quote to us on a couple of comparable quality options to consider among two competing brands, with exceptional value added, given his product knowledge. This included a higher mid-level LiftMaster model, which came with additional features and a better warranty, currently available at the same equivalent price as a lower model; savings passed on to the customer. Thank you Al and Randall! The new opener is definitely a noticeable improvement over the old unit; and provides convenient features & security assurances that will make their lives a whole lot easier. I’d recommend this company based on the courtesy of the team, their high service delivery standards, and their honest concern to deliver the best value to their customer.
