I saw Zsolts van one day and thought anyone with a nice sign would be worth a call for quote. He showed up at appointed time and provided a reasonable written estimate both in cost, duration and flexible start date. He made one more visit to confirm the colour scheme at which point we asked him to hang a wallpaper on one wall Zsolt was very meticulous in thoroughly covering the newly installed vanity, floor and a few large pieces of furniture. The paining, trimming and wallpapering was done to perfection, on schedule and left the project spotless. We were very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of Ezi painting and will highly recommend his services to family and friends

Part of the face lift of our home of 28 years called for replacing the flimsy aluminum screen door on our entrance enclosure with something more compatible with the quality of the home and the neighbourhood. We decided to pay a (our first) visit to Especially Doors because the business name implied it's focus and they happened to be close to our home. Speaking to Jeffrey, we were immediately struck by his preoccupation with understanding our needs and creating a design that he would like as much as his prospective customer. Like an artist that starts with a blank canvas, Jeffrey begins with understanding the customers wishes and translates them into a distinctive design that will fit the ingress dimensions perfectly, complimenting and indeed enhancing the facade of your castle. We decided not to bother visiting other vendors - Jeffrey's proposal was reasonably priced and his honest enthusiasm for what he came up with was infectious enough so that we signed up and referred him to our daughter ( who has ordered an entrance door from him also ) Gill spent the day yesterday installing the new doors with a meticulous attention of a craftsman. The result is truly spectacular. The first neighbour stopped by to admire it before Gill was finished.

After a very windy day last fall, I was looking at missing shingles on our roof just as an acquaintance who is a well established realtor in the neighborhood was driving by. He stopped to say hello and asked if he could help. I asked about a reputable roofer and he recommended I contact Guildwood. I called and Simon got back to me the same day and made an appointment to come and inspect the damage the next day. He kept the appointment and patched up the roof within an our, suggesting the roof may need reshingling in a year or two. Earlier this spring we decided to get some quotes, from Guildwood and three other well known (advertised) roofing companies. Simon was first off the mark. Company B showed up promptly a week later, produced a proposal on the spot and that was the last I heard from them. Company C missed their appointment and when I called them the next day we arranged for a second try and got my 3rd quote. Company D never bothered calling back to respond to my quote request message so I imagine they had more business than they could handle. Not only was Guildwood's quote most reasonable, my experience with Simon was both tangible and positive so it was a nobrainer to contract with him. Most calls with questions were answered very promptly and as the suggested date of the job was approaching I was called a couple of times to firm it up and be provided with last minute pointers. The job itself was carried out by a crew that was clearly well experienced and worked together in complete harmony. The perimeter of our house was left in a pristine condition with all debris (especially nails) removed from both ours and neighbour's properties. The morning after the job was done, Simon went up on the roof to inspect everything and even produced some pictures of areas I could not see from the street level.
