I called and spoke to seven radon mitigation companies here in Calgary and requested quotes from several of them. RadonCare came out on top after doing all my research. It was their diagnostics, detailed description of how they were going to carry out their work and performance guarantee that put them on top. Andrew was engaging throughout the entire process, from our first phone call, face to face evaluation/quote and diagnosis/installation of radon mitigation equipment. He provided text message and picture updates throughout the entire day of work. Most importantly, we're seeing our numbers drop from 150-220 Bq/m3 to ~10 Bq/m3. I needed a deck rebuild and contacted several contractors to get quotes. I spoke to Rob from Maritime West and had a really good impression right from the very start. Rob mentioned a few items to watch out for in terms of rotted wood and gave an accurate quote for the job. All the guys that came to do the job were professional and approachable. They did a great job on budget and on time - right before the big snowfall! Thanks for the great work Rob.

Richard delivered a strong sales pitch supported by a thorough education of paint options, painting process and QA/QC of work. His crew (Alberto) was extremely professional and accomodating. A couple of learnings from working with Legacy: 1. It would be wise to get a sample of the paint to try on the exterior surface. Although we choose a sample color we liked, as soon as we put it on the exterior surface, a pink/purple tint came through. We ended up having to change the color part way through the job. Alberto and Richard were fully supportive of this. Part of the issue (in my opinion...) is the sample colors are from General Paint while the exterior paint product is from Cloverdale. 2. We had to call back the crew afterwards to clean a few paint spots/touch up. There was a bit of back and forth with Richard on the touch up as the location (our deck) was an "add on" with the crew when they came. Although I was instructed by Richard to approach the crew directly for the add-on, this work is not explicitly in the contract. However, in the end, this got sorted out. Learning for those considering working with Legacy is to get ALL items in the contract to avoid any miscommunication....
