I contacted IAQ because of concerns about mold in my home. I knew we had some type of mold growing where there'd been a leak in the roof, but I didn't know how bad it was, or how to go about fixing the problem. Shawn came to our house as scheduled, on time and thoughtfully bringing an extra pair of shoes for indoors. He was immediately very direct and informative, but also friendly and approachable. Shawn confirmed the mold problem in the attic, and also advised that we had a more serious air quality problem emanating from our damp unfinished basement. This was not the usual bad-news-that's-going-to-cost-a-bundle advice. Shawn sat down with me and described the steps that should be followed to clean up the mold in both areas of our old house, whether we choose to do the work ourselves for a few hundred dollars, or whether we choose to hire a recommended contractor.
