Luke and Eric came to us highly recommended from several friends that had used them for fireplace renovations. We had a nasty old fireplace that I was unsure could be salvaged - my wife and I were nervous about the costs of having to tear it out completely. Luke and Eric assured us that a retrofit was possible so we decided to go this route. These guys were miracle workers fitting a beautiful 2-sided gas unit in place, framing the old fireplace in a sleek modern enclosure complete, and adding a custom space for home theatre. The new installation is now the centrepiece of our living/dining area and brings our family together on wintery evenings in this new cozy space - this has really been more than just a renovation for us! Work started and finished exactly on the dates quoted - there were no additional costs, and Luke managed to throw in a couple of extras at no additional charge. To top it off, they hired professional cleaners to come in and clean our downstairs living area when the job was complete. I cannot say enough about these guys, and will use them again when we add an insert to our chilly loft - (gotta love these older homes!) - not to mention that we will be recommending North Fireplaces to anyone we know who is considering a fireplace renovation.
