Renovating my bathroom I decided to get a professional to finish the drywall mud work and paint. I was quoted based on three days work to complete the mud, prime new work and paint. The work took less than two days and was very hastily completed with many imperfections in the finishing of the plaster. I also wonder about how long things will last as the paint was applied very soon after the drywall compound was put on. I paid for three days work and got a 1 1/2 day job. Having said that it would seem that Wow is very eager to please. After posting this review I got a call from the owner of the company who sent a representative back to assess my complaints. They were very anxious to send a painter back to fix the problems but as I had already put the room back together I did not want the fuss and mess of having the work redone. Brent, the owner called me back, acknowledged that the work was not as good as it should have been and asked how he could make it right by me. We agreed on a cash rebate for the work done and I agreed to change the the rating of this review. I now believe that they really do want to do a good job and feel that they would have come back as many times as it would take to make me happy with the job and for that reason I have changed their rating on this site.

I wanted to re-insulate a turn of the century farm house. I tore off all of the siding and strapped on to the roof. I called Frank who did not hesitate to take on the job even though it would mean several visits as we opened up one section at a time. We were also racing agains the arrival of winter. Frank did not let me down. He even had to light the place at night a few times so that he could continue working. Crawling up and down ladders and scrambling around on the roof - he never hesitated. Frank is trustworthy reliable and an affable guy I would not hesitate to hire him again should I require further insulation work.

Last fall I started a rather complex landscaping project. After interviewing several companies I decided to go with Merlin Construction. I am so glad that I did. The project was completed on time and on budget. There were a few extras due to site conditions but I felt that these were reasonable. The crew that worked on my project were knowledgeable, personable and hard working. It is a difficult downtown site yet they managed to manoeuvre their equipment and materials while being respectful of the neighbours and my family. The guys were always happy to discuss any issues or questions that I had and they delivered exactly what was promised. Should you be fortunate enough to hire them - you will not regret it.
