I had granite counters installed in my kitchen. They look amazing, but we did have a little trouble with insulation. The guys had to come and shave a bit off the backside of one piece because it was not even with the counters on either side of the stove. We did not replace the backsplash and a piece of tile just underneath the eating bar is missing. It's a 1" x 3" piece. I can't possible match it to replace it, so I am not sure what to do. As of now the coffee maker sits in front of it. I am wondering also if there is any kind of treatment that granite needs each year. I was not informed of this. I would recommend Granite Direct. Price wise was great as long as you aren't in a hurry to get it. I would suggest that you are home while insulation is being done so anything can be caught right away. It's tough to get someone back to repair a mistake.
