I called AC Electric when my tenant's motion sensor light started to fail. I worried it was a small job and they might not do it. Not only did Craig respond quickly, but came the next day and did the job in minutes. He was superhelpful when he noticed the colour of my LED bulbs didn't match and corrected the issue immediately. I will be using AC Electric and recommending them again!

I had tried to DIY-install shelves on my bedroom wall and failed. The shelves sat there for a while until I decided to something about them and call OddJob.ca ... so glad I did. I used the online booking service and added a couple of additional jobs. Two days later, Geoff arrived from OddJob.ca and took care of the shelves AND explained to me why the plugs I used didn't work (educating me! turns out I needed metal plugs). installed a curtain hook and two garage organizing clamps that had languished in my garage for two years. Professional, prompt and kind.

I wanted to fix up the second floor of my rowhouse, get rid of the stucco ceilings, soundproof walls, get new paint job throughout the second floor and wallpaper on one bedroom wall. Wayne and his team installed soundproofing drywall (heavy, hard work, amazing results) throughout the second floor on both the walls and ceilings (very effective - dulls sound considerably), did excellent plaster work to cover the seams 'seamlessly', superb painting and wrangled the 'peel and stick' wallpaper pretty well. I'm glad they did it and not me. They were on time and dependable. Very professional results.

Wayne and his team's services came highly recommended when I needed drywalling done. He was highly professional and responsive and did a great job in record time. I've since used Wayne McGrath Home Improvements for a number of interior projects around my home. This summer I used the company's services to paint my basement. Again, he was highly responsive and made sure I got a great, professional job done in record time. I was very impressed with the painting job and the attention to detail.

Alison and her colleagues at Pest Protection Plus are pleasant, professional and make pest control actually pleasant. I contacted them to remove mice that got into my home and within 3 months, as promised, the mice were gone. The company was prompt, courteous and great at communication, texting and emailing confirmation of visits. Best of all, they get the job done. I would not hesitate to recommend them again.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This is a long story to say how great Jason and his team at Canadian Roofing are, but in short: These people do truly professional work that stands the test of time, and they do more than roofing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. FULL-LENGTH VERSION: Last fall I looked at ceiling water damage in my living room and realized I couldn’t ignore it anymore. I needed to call Jason at Canadian Roofing (who has done great work roofing and fixing flat roofs at my home) to deliver the bad news. Jason in fact gave me GREAT news after a thorough inspection of my upper roof and damage in my living room. It was my 2nd floor window causing the damage in the living room, not my entire roof. Massive relief, and an indication of this roofer’s honesty – the roof didn’t need replacing; my window did. But he came through to help anyway. He said he could assist me with window replacement and ceiling repair. I wanted European tilt-and-turn windows. Could he do that? Turns out he could: He connected me with a Dante Casasanta who distributes the Estonian-produced Viking Windows, very well-made, energy-efficient and beautiful tilt-and-turn windows. So beautiful I ended up purchasing a window for the second floor and living room plus a door. It took a long time for them to ship from Estonia (four months), but they were installed this spring. Jason put together a great team to do a stunning job: Vas and his team installed the windows and doors and Vas demonstrated master carpentry skills with beautiful trim on the inside and superb masonry talents on the exterior befitting the home’s time period. Jason literally went the extra mile – make that hundreds - to find angel stone to match the front of my home to finish off the outside trim. Kevin of Canadian Roofing did an outstanding job of repairing my living room ceiling, removing the stucco and painting the living room and hall after door and window installation. He also sanded, stained and varnished the pine interior trim to match the natural oak finish of the windows. It is a phenomenally professional finish. After a mishap with the doorframe, Jason and Kevin hastened to repair it seamlessly through a furniture repair expert. Of course – being a demanding client and seeing how beautiful the windows and doors were – I asked Jason if his roofing team could provide new siding and eavestroughs and soffits on the front of my home. James and John of Canadian Roofing to the rescue. In the process, they revealed beautiful cedar shingle trim above my second-floor window. I asked Kevin if it could be painted the same colour as my beautiful new door. He literally went above and beyond and scaled a very tall ladder to paint the cedar shingles the beautiful wine red of my door. Gorgeous. These guys are great. Special thanks to Jason, Kevin and Vas for extra help and support you’ve provided me through a very custom project that I am so proud to call my home!

Based on excellent reviews on Homestars, I contacted Archie of Sobol Inc. for a quote for a new door and window I needed installed in my home. He is very professional and knowledgeable and recommended the right products for both those jobs. He also noticed areas in one of my existing windows and front door that needed weather-proofing, and came up with a very affordable solution that didn't require heavy investment. They gave me a set day for work to start and arrived precisely on that day at the appointed time. Archie and his team did a superb job of executing the work with craftsmanlike attention to detail, and finishing touches so the new door looks like it is actually part of my century-old home. When I saw Royal Decks on Homestars and saw the reviews and photos of their work, I knew they were the right company for me. Miro is so professional and pleasant to work with, giving me good advice and recommending the appropriate materials (because I wanted low maintenance, he advised on a good composite decking product) and Richie executed the work beautifully, with superb attention to detail for a really attractive finished job that co-ordinates with the rest of my home.
