Interior Painting - Living/Dining/Family/Main and Upper Hall
We hired John to do some painting in our home. He is a nice person to deal with and is neat, bringing along drop cloths and cleaning up after himself as best he could. He works by himself for the most part, which may be a problem as his work became a bit messier as the day progressed [from sheer fatigue I'm guessing]. The cost of his services were not outrageous considering how much work there was to be done. The job he did was average; he didn't really do anything that we couldn't have done ourselves had we had the time to invest, and frankly, I think we could have done a better job. There are messy bits throughout the walls [i.e. bleeding onto the trim, wall imperfections that should have been sanded down and smoothed out, certain parts were missed altogether]. For someone in business for 20+ years, I expected more. We had a few rooms where we used mainly dark paint, which is quite unforgiving when you bleed onto white trim and don't even-out wall imperfections. I'm most unhappy with those particular rooms as the errors are glaring. As mentioned, I didn't see how this was a 'professional' job. I also never received a formal receipt even though it was specifically requested.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $2,000.00
