I had a leak in my wall which was traced to my roof. The previous roofing company installed aluminum roofing, but left a 1" x 2" hole on the top of my roof. This occurred when I had the roof installed in 2009. Last summer I noticed the wall bubbling, so I had my handyman repair the wall. The same thing occurred this summer. I had my handyman rip out the drywall to the roof line. To my amazement, the insulation was soaking wet, the plywood was also wet and some of it was black. I searched Homestars and obtained estimates from five companies. I chose Jeff Hayes Contracting. He was very honest right from the first time I met him. His workers are very efficient and clean up after themselves. The workmanship is excellent. Jeff has honoured his time estimate by completing my renovation within the deadline he provided on the contract. His cost for the project was very reasonable. Jeff inspects the jobs his workers complete to ensure that the work is being done according to his standards. Jeff was diligent in following up with my aluminum roofer to ensure as smooth a transition as possible for the new shingles to be installed on the newly adjoining roof (only the aluminum roofer could install the shingles due to the 50-year transferable warranty). I would definitely recommend Jeff Hayes Contracting for renovations that have to be done on your property.
